EMBDC announces Ambassador of the Year'

Ann Burton of The Radio People has been named Ambassador of the Year by the East Mississippi Business Development Corporation.
The runners-up were Greg Mallette of Network Telephone, second place, and Terrence Roberts of The United Way of Lauderdale County, third place.
Burton, an account representative with The Radio People, received a plaque, $500 cash and dinner at The Rustler. Mallette received $200 and dinner at Outback Steakhouse, and Roberts received $100 cash and dinner at Princetons.
EMBDC Ambassadors are a group of motivated, enthusiastic and articulate men and women who serve as an integral part of the EMBDC's community and economic development programs.
Ambassadors accumulate points by volunteering their time to attend EMBDC functions like ribbon- cuttings and Business After Hours receptions, and by hosting programs. They also recruit new members and assist with retention of current members.
