Meridian Winds to perform Nov. 19
The Meridian Winds, an instrumental ensemble of adults and students, sponsored by Meridian Community College, will present a concert Sunday, Nov. 19, at 3 p.m. in the MCC auditorium. Dr. Carey Smith serves as director.
The concert will be dedicated to the memory of the first three directors of the Meridian High School Band Howard Lane, Houston Jenks and Eli Pacetti.
The concert is free and open to the public. A reception will be held afterwards.
Collector's Fair
Held at the Frank Cochran Center in Highland Park, the Collector's Fair is set for Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9 to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 19, from noon to 5 p.m.
Trees of Christmas set for Dec. 2-9
The 2000 Cellular South Trees of Christmas event, presented by the Meridian Restoration Foundation, will be held Dec. 2-9 at Merrehope and the F.W. Williams House. Daily tours are available, and a candlelight tour is scheduled for Dec. 8. For information, call 483-8439.
The Mississippi Gulf Coast Craftsmen's Guild
The Mississippi Gulf Coast Craftsmen's Guild will present its semi-annual Fine Arts &Craft Show at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum in Biloxi.
