SHUBUTA Authorities with the Clarke County Sheriff's Department said firefighters from the Shubuta and DeSoto volunteer fire departments were unable to save a Shubuta home at 934 County Road 210 Friday after a fire started there about 2 p.m.
The home of Jamie Kendricks was destroyed by the blaze that reportedly rekindled about 7 p.m. Friday. Sheriff's authorities said no one was at home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported because of the blaze.
