BEEMON, DELONG
Tim and Dotty Beemon of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Carol, to Brian James DeLong, son of Bill and Verla DeLong of York, Neb.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at 2 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Beemon is the granddaughter of Harry and Beth Beemon of Chunky, and Allen and Caroline Herrington of Collinsville.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Clarkdale High School and attends Meridian Community College, where she is pursuing a degree in business administration.
While attending Clarkdale, she was a member of the National Honor Society, the band and was a highest honors graduate. At MCC, she is a member of the Baptist Student Union.
Miss Beemon is employed by Dement Printing Company.
Mr. DeLong is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Merle DeLong of Inman, Neb.; the late Mr. Speiker, and late Mr. and Mrs. Sixta.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of O'Neill Public High School and attended the Naval Air Technical Training Center, Air Traffic Control Division.
He is currently a Petty Officer Third Class, air traffic controller, for the United States Navy.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
ENTREKIN, MAXWELL
Paul and Diane Entrekin of Meridian and Gloria Jackson of Vicksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Angela Nicole Entrekin, to Joseph Scott Maxwell, son of James and Betty Awad of Brandon.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, at 10 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church.
Miss Entrekin is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Entrekin of Meridian; Alice Wheeler of Vicksburg and the late Harry Wheeler; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shults of Collinsville.
The bride is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a bachelor of arts degree in business and Spanish with an international business degree.
While attending MSU, she was a member of the International Business Club.
Miss Entrekin is employed by Susan Davis International.
Mr. Maxwell is the grandson of Eleanor Dillard of Forest and the late George Maxwell; and the late Mr. and Mrs. N.O. Vaughn.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Northwest Rankin High School and will receive a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering in December from Mississippi State University.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
