GREENE, JACKSON
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Greene of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Merrick Anna, to Stephen Blanks Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jackson Sr. of Hattiesburg.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Miss Greene is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Edlund of Atlanta and the late Mr. and Mrs. Percy Greene of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and attended the University of Mississippi. She is a graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing in Memphis, Tenn., and received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
While attending Ole Miss, she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She is a member of the Southern Debutante Assembly.
Mr. Jackson is the grandson of Mrs. Duncan Fairley Matheson Jr. of Hattiesburg and the late Mr. Matheson and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Rushing Jackson of Hattiesburg.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Hattiesburg High School and received his juris doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law. He received his master of laws in taxation degree from Washington University.
While attending Ole Miss, he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.
Mr. Jackson is employed by Jackson and Jackson, PLLC.
A reception will be held at Northwood Country Club following the ceremony.
ELLIS, BLEVINS
Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Ellis Jr. of Brandon announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Christine, to Christopher Len Blevins, son of the late Sylvia June Blevins of Pearl.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Brandon.
Miss Ellis is the granddaughter of Joseph E. Powell of Flora and the late Mrs. Powell; Mr. and Mrs. Francis M. Ellis Sr. of Lawrenceville, Va.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School. She attended Mississippi University for Women in Columbus and the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.
While attending MUW, she was a member of the Highlander Social Club.
Miss Ellis is employed by the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce in Jackson.
Mr. Blevins is the grandson of Bonnie Bennett Menear and David Menear of Madison and the late Len Martin of Jackson.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Pearl High School. He attended Hinds Community College, Rankin Campus, and the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.
While attending USM, he was a member of the Coaching Administration Program.
Mr. Blevins is employed as a singer and songwriter.
A reception will be held at the Agricultural and Forestry Museum in the Music Hall of Fame in Jackson.
MORGAN, CARTER
Mr. and Mrs. Charles William Morgan announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachael Dawn, to Chad Taylor Carter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Harmon Carter Jr. of Quitman.
The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, at 1:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Pontotoc.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Helen Morgan of Mantee and the late Hermit Morgan; Margaret Turner of Houlka and the late G.C. Turner Sr.
Miss Morgan is an honors graduate of Pontotoc High School. She received a bachelor of science degree in agribusiness with a minor in economics and an emphasis in international production agriculture from Mississippi State University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in agribusiness management at MSU.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Hilda Carter of Quitman and the late Leon Carter Sr.; Grace Taylor of Quitman and the late Clarence Taylor.
Mr. Carter is an honors graduate of Quitman High School and is currently pursuing a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering at Mississippi State University.
A reception will follow at the home of Margaret Turner in Houlka.
