LANGLEY, S.C. Services for Floice Mae Harper Smith will be held at 2 p.m. today at Hatcher Funeral Home here, with the Rev. J.B. Redd officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens in Graniteville.
Mrs. Smith, 92, of Warrenville, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
She was was a retired employee with the Graniteville Company. She was a member of the Autumn Years Choir, The Laura Ellen Sunday school class, the Swinging 60s at Clearwater Baptist Church, Daughters of America, Young at Heart, Warrenville Women's Club, Graniteville Leisure Club, Baptist Women's Union at Warrenville First Baptist Church. She was born in Meridian.
Survivors include three sons, Cecil G. Cole of Graniteville, Ottis J. Smith Jr. of Lexington, Don Smith of Warrenville; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis J. Smith Sr.; her parents, James Monroe Harper and Sarah Wolfe Harper; and three brothers, Marvin Harper, James Harper and Edwin Harper, all of Meridian.
Pallbearers will be the deacons of Warrenville First Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Warrenville First Baptist Church at P.O. Box 333, Warrenville, S.C. 29851.
OSIE C. GAMBLIN
DESOTO Services for Osie C. Gamblin will be held Tuesday at 12 noon at St. John Methodist Church here with the Rev. George Price officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Gamblin, 76, of Shubuta, died Wed., Dec. 13, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Faye Gamblin, of Hattiesburg; three daughters, Shirley Roberts, of Shubuta, Katherine Davis, of Stonewall, and Glenda Parks, of Quitman; three sons, Jimmy Gamblin, of Shubuta, Albert Gamblin, of Jacksonville, N.C., and Brandon Gamblin, of Hattiesburg; and two sisters, Willie Winnick, of Shubuta, and Mary L. McCann, of Cleveland, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.
Visitation is scheduled Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2000, at 11 a.m. prior to the service.
SUSAN BIERWIRTH
A memorial service for Susan Bierwirth will be held at a later date with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bierwirth, 93, of Marion, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000 at Benchmark Health Care Inc.
Survivors include three great nieces, Polly Lummus, of Columbus, Celia Ann Hall, of Meridian, and Cathi Harper, of Toomsuba; one great nephew, David Little, of Vimville; and numerous great, great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bierwirth, and a niece, Tommie Lou Little.
The family requests memorials be made to Heart Felt Hospice.
LUTHER S. OLIVER
Services for Luther S. Oliver will be held Tuesday, Dec. 19. at 2 p.m. at Barham Chapel. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Oliver, 81, of Meridian, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000 at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 18, from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at Barham.
CLAUDIA S. LEWIS
Arrangements were incomplete at Milling Funeral Home in Union for Claudia S. Lewis, 89, of Union, who died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000 at Winston County Nursing Home.
