Services for Robert Lee Rivers will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at First Assembly of God in Meridian. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Mr. Rivers, 83, of Lakeland, Fla., died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, in his home. He was a member of First Assembly of God and a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Faye Stevenson of Meridian; a son, Bobby Wayne Rivers of Lakeland; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cleo Rivers.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at First Assembly of God.
EMMA J. SULLIVAN

PHILADELPHIA Services for Emma J. Sullivan will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Coye Assembly of God Church, with the Revs. Achan Dufrene and Lawrence Pool officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery in Kemper County. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sullivan, 93, of DeKalb, died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include four daughters, Willie Lee Pratt, Jewel Tucker and Seretha Johnson, all of Meridian, and Eloise Dunn of Philadelphia; three sons, Paul Sullivan, Royce Sullivan and Wilber Sullivan, all of Preston; 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Sullivan and a son, James Sullivan.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
LUTHER S. OLIVER
Retired owner/operator of Luther Oliver Paint Company
Services for Luther S. Oliver will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jason Bird officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mr. Oliver, 81, of Meridian, died Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a Deacon at Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church and member of the V.F.W. Mr. Oliver served on the U.S.S. St. Louis, which was sunk, during World War II. He was the owner and operator of Luther Oliver Paint Company for more than 25 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary W. Oliver of Meridian; two sons, Frank S. Oliver and his wife, Cathy, of Birmingham, and Thomas B. Oliver of Meridian; two stepsons, Steven D. Williams and his wife, Kelly, of Meridian, and Michael D. Williams of San Jose, Calif.; a grandson, David Williams of San Jose; a granddaughter, Conner Marie Williams of Meridian; and a brother, Jack Oliver and his wife, Doris, of Tucker, Ga.
The family requests memorials be made to Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Bill Jones, Randy Ethridge, Johnny Masoner, Arden Williams, Art Nelson, Ben Rose, Stanley Dean and Albert Bartlett.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church.
Visitation will be today from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Sadie C. Wyatt, 81, of Meridian, who died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian.
