40th anniversary
BECKY AND DONALD VANCE
Becky and Donald Vance were married 40 years ago today, December 17, 1960, in the home of the bride in Meridian. They celebrated their anniversary with a family dinner at The Rustler given by their children, Amy Blackmon and her husband, Dwayne, of Tupelo and Max Vance and his wife, Renee', of Collinsville. The couple are planning an Alaskan cruise in the spring as a gift to each other.
50th anniversary
MR. AND MRS. JAMES Q. GULLETTE
The family of Mr. and Mrs. James Q. Gullette will host a reception to honor the couple's 50th anniversary on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the couple's home, 3503 35th Street, Meridian. The Gullette's have a granddaughter, Brittany Gullette Neal and were preceded in death by a son, Michael Clifton Gullette. Mr. Gullette is the retired assistant city manager for the City of Meridian and Mrs. Gullette is retired from Meridian Mutual Federal Credit Union. They were married Dec. 15, 1950, at First Baptist Church of Meridian.
60th anniversary
REV. AND MRS. ALFRED HORACE LINTON
The children of the Rev. and Mrs. Alfred Horace Linton will host a 60th anniversary reception on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the couple's home, 6291 Zero Road. They have four children, Shirley Byrne and her husband, Jack, Betty Bradley and her husband, Eddie, and Catherine Bowden, all of Meridian, and the late Alfred David Linton; seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. The couple has spent 50 years in the ministry and the building business. Family and friends are invited to attend.
