Graveside services for Howard R. Thigpen were to be held today at 10 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery, with the Rev. Charles W. Nicholson officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Thigpen, 80, of Meridian, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at Benchmark Health Care.
Survivors include a sister, Billie Weaver of Meridian, and several nieces and nephews.
TOMMIE JOYCE DAVIDSON
Homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother
Services for Tommie Joyce Davidson will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Albert McMullen officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Clarke County.
Mrs. Davidson, 69, of Meridian, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, in Meridian. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Mrs. Davidson was a very loving and devoted mother, wife and grandmother. She always thought of her family first and of herself last. She had many good friends and often recalled of the good times that were shared together. She suffered many years but now she rests in peace.
Survivors include her husband, R.C. Davidson, her father, T.B. Shirley, a daughter, Bobbie Hagwood and her husband, Van, a son, Woodie Davidson and his wife, Nelda, a granddaughter, Angela Davidson and her husband, Scotty, two grandsons, Chris Hagwood and Tyler Davidson, and a great-grandchild, Trevor Davidson, all of Meridian and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ethel Shirley; a sister, Glenda Smith; and a son, Jimmie Wayne Davidson.
The family requests memorials be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Richard Harold Reynolds, Dickie Davis, Randy Shirley, Parker Shannon, Stanley Shannon, Dwight Vaughn and Cotton Moffett.

Services for Amos "Monk" Jarman will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Stanley Pritchett officiating. Burial will be in Lockhart Cemetery.
Mr. Jarman, 83, of Meridian, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, at Benchmark Healthcare.
Survivors include two daughters, Sue Rasberry of Meridian and Charlotte Hudson of Milton, Fla.; a son, Robert Jarman of Meridian; a nephew, A. Russell Jarman of Lockhart; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Strode, Robbie Jarman, Stanley Dean, Roy Young Dean, Houston Garrett, Curtis Barncastle Jr. and Todd Eldridge.
Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
MARGARET ARNELL HOPKINS

Services for Margaret Arnell Hopkins will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in the Zero Community, with the Rev. Alan Randall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hopkins, 79, of Meridian, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, in Meridian. She was a Methodist and attended Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Rose Hopkins Litchfield and her husband, Wendell "Winky", and Rebecca Lynn Hopkins Holmes and her husband, James, two sons, Leonard Clark "Sonny" Hopkins Jr. and his wife, Paulette Aycock Hopkins, and Don Michael Hopkins and his wife, Pamala Kaye Page Hopkins, all of Meridian; five sisters-in-law, Ann Bolton of Trinity, Texas, Kathryn Bolton Duke of Meridian, Ora Ann Hopkins Elam of Chicago, Mary Stella Hopkins Teremunde and her husband, Roy, of Rothbury, Mich., Sarah Glenda Hopkins Redden and her husband, Pete, of Caruthersville, Mo.; two brothers-in-law, Billy Earl Hopkins and his wife, Dessie, of New Madrid, Mo., George Washington Hopkins Jr. and his wife, Hazel, of Caruthersville, Mo.; 14 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Clark Hopkins Sr.; her father, Rufus Arnold Bolton; her mother, Rosa Lee Leggett Bolton; and two brothers, Bob R. Bolton and Laddie E. Bolton.
The family requests memorials be made to The Center for Research and Treatment of Alzheimer's Patients.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Anthony D. "Tony" Litchfield, George Alan Litchfield, Kenneth Mark Litchfield, David James Holmes, Jonathan Scott Hopkins, David Clark Hopkins and Josh Hopkins, and her stepson, Steven Scott Litchfield.
Visitation will be today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
BURNETT WILLIAM STANLEY
MOBILE, Ala. Services for Burnett William Stanley will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Shubuta Methodist Church. Burial will be in Shubuta Cemetery with Magnolia Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Stanley, 67, a native and former resident of Shubuta, Miss., and a resident of Mobile for the past 47 years, died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, in a Mobile hospital. He was a 45 year member of Carpenters Local #89 and a past master of Howard Lodge #691 and AM of Mobile.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Finch Stanley; four sons, Martin Stanley and his wife, Karen, Michael Burnett Stanley, Christopher Otero Stanley, all of Mobile, and Steven William Stanley and his wife, Karen, of Columbus, Miss.; a daughter, Michelle Dione Stanley of Mobile; six grandchildren, Troy Clayton Stanley, Anna Christine Stanley, Michael William Stanley, Allen Christopher Stanley, John Michael Stanley and Nicholas William Sciple; three sisters, Allie Elizabeth Larsen and Jean Shutz, both of Mobile, and Annieruth McRae, of Shubuta; a brother, the Rev. Ira E. Stanley of Saranaclake, N.Y.; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church in Shubuta.
