MARY SUE CROSS
Retired nurses aide
Services for Mary Sue Cross will be held today at 2 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Grubbs officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Cross, 89, of Meridian, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice. She was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Elois Pickard and her husband, Johnny, of Grovehill, Ala., Lucille Gibson and her husband, Bobby, and Nellie Catlett, all of Meridian; two sons, Leavell Cross and his wife, Fredna, and Glen Cross and his wife, Sara, all of Meridian; two sisters, Nora Necoise and her husband, Leo, of Gulfport and Sadie Dalton of Meridian; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank P. "Doc" Cross and her grandson, Frankie Cross.
Pallbearers will be James Russell Rash, Craig Pickard, Gary Pickard, Joe Cross, Gerald Cross and Timothy Catlett.
Visitation will be today from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
ANNA C. RANDLE
Services for Anna C. Randle will be held today at 2 p.m. at St. Mary Baptist Church with the Rev. Tonie Burks officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Toomsuba with Enterprise Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Randle, 75, of Meridian, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include seven sons, David Randle of Arcavia, Fla., Aurther James Randle, Robert Randle, Willie Randle, Edward Randle, Abraham Randle and Nathan Randle, all of Meridian; four daughters, Eva Randle, Mary Jackson and Annie Williams, all of Meridian, Glenda Robertson of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Sadie B. Parker of Laurel and Velma Little of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; 43 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
INFANT CHAZ BRANDON WOLVERTON
Graveside services for Infant Chaz Brandon Wolverton will be held today at 3 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Kerns officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Infant Wolverton, of Meridian, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001, in Meridian.
Survivors include his mother, Teresa Wolverton, two sisters, Krystal and Tami Kay Wolverton, a brother, Justin Tran Wolverton and his grandmother, Margie Stewart, all of Meridian; his father, Junior Bellow of Louisiana; and his uncle, Eugene Stewart of Heidelberg.
SUSAN STURGES HYDE
LILBURN, Ga. Memorial services for Susan Sturges Hyde will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church with the Rev. Margaret Rose officiating. National Cremation Society is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hyde, 57, of Atlanta, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001. Mrs. Hyde was born in Meridian, Miss., on Feb. 9, 1943. She was a graduate of Florida State University and a member of Tri Delta Alumni Association. She was in Who's Who of American Hospitality in 1993 and was twice the president of the Concierge Society of Atlanta, on the Executive Board of Directors of the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance and served three years on the St. Joseph's Cancer Survivors Network Board. In 1997, she represented St. Joseph's at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Conference. She was a beloved member of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church. Mrs. Hyde was a prize winning photographer, a gifted chef, needlepoint artist, poet, public speaker and published author. Her gifts of humor are shared in her best selling book about cancer, "No More Bad Hair Days." Mrs. Hyde said often that her greatest gifts were her children.
Survivors include two daughters, Susanna Hyde Shewan of Decatur, Miss., and Vanessa Evans Hyde of Atlanta; a son, Nicholas Whitfield Hyde of Atlanta; a stepson, Jeffrey Howard Hyde of Atlanta; her aunt and uncle, Sara and John Torode of Kingsley Lake, Fla.; several cousins and friends.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Joseph's Mercy Foundation or the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church.
SARA ETHEL DAVIDSON BONNER
GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Sara Ethel Davidson Bonner will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Brightwater United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Phillips Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bonner, 94, of Silas, died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, in Meridian.
Survivors include two sons, John M. Bonner of Toxey and James E. Bonner of Needham; four daughters, Lavern Bonner of Needham, Mary Ethel Skinner of Toxey, Maxine Shirley of Mobile and Shirley Frost of Cullumburg; 27 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

QUITMAN Graveside services for Mack Lewis Walters Sr. will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Kings Cemetery in Clarke County with the Rev. Parker Chancellor officiating. Wright's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Walters, 66, of Quitman, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2001, in his home.
Survivors include two sons, Ricky Walters and Mack L. Walters Jr., three daughters, Debbie Cunningham, Kim Willard and Michele Currie, all of Meridian; two sisters, Jean Waddell of Mobile, Ala. and Joyce Green of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Shaw.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
