Defending Class 1A-2A-3A state champion West Lauderdale has yet to taste defeat during the 2000-01 soccer season.
And Thursday afternoon, the ninth-ranked Knights continued to cruise.
West Lauderdale didn't let the rainy conditions at Decatur become a factor, rolling past the host Cougars of Newton County 11-0 in a Division 5 matchup.
The victory improved West to 7-0-2 on the season. The Knights are unbeaten against all schools in their classification, tying Class 5A schools Starkville and Columbus.
The Knights return to action Tuesday at 7 p.m. at cross-county rival Northeast Lauderdale.
Lamar boys 15, Chamberlain-Hunt 1: Lamar School's boys rebounded from their first loss of the season in fine fashion, racking up an incredible 15 goals Thursday at Port Gibson against Chamberlain-Hunt Academy.
Lamar got three goals apiece from Matt Griffin and Austin Holmes, while Nick Lisi and Lane Rush scored two goals apiece.
Randy Boyd Thompson, Drew Moffett, Heath Rush, Brad Huff and Josh Remy all added one goal apiece for the Raiders.
Daniel Boiselle scored the only goal of the game for Chamberlain-Hunt.
Lamar, which is now 10-1-1 on the season, returns to action Wednesday when the Raiders host Central Hinds at 6 p.m.
It will be the final home game of the season for the Raiders.
