50TH ANNIVERSARY
Thomas and Betty Griffith
Thomas John and Betty Reiser Griffith recently observed their 50th anniversary with a celebration on Dec. 30, 2000, at St. Edmonds by the Sea Catholic Church on Dauphin Island, Ala. The couple were married on Jan. 2, 1951, at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Mobile, Ala. Mrs. Griffith retired after 17 years as secretary for St. Patrick's Catholic School in Meridian and later served as director of the Mercy Associates for the Sisters of Mercy, St. Louis Region. Mr. Griffith retired after 22 years as lieutenant commander and aviator for the United States Navy and is currently a flight simulator instructor for Lockheed Martin at NAS Meridian. They have 10 children, 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
50TH ANNIVERSARY
Cecil and Nelwyn McInnis
Cecil Vernon and Nelwyn Francis Wells McInnis were married on Jan. 5, 1940, in San Jose, Calif., by a Methodist minister in the parsonage. Throughout their marriage, they have lived throughout the United States. The McInnis' have retired and live in Meridian and Panama City, Fla. Mrs. McInnis is a native of Longview, Texas, and Mr. McInnis is a native of Vimville. They have two children, Betty Minor of San Diego, Calif. and Cecilia McInnis-Bowers of Birmingham, Ala.; and four grandchildren.
