The one-man show will open with a reception Thursday, 5-7 p.m. at the downtown gallery. The reception is open to the public.
Recognized as one of the most acclaimed contemporary artists in the area, Horne's work has previously been exhibited in solo, two-man, and group exhibits at Mississippi Museum of Art, Meridian Museum of Art, Philadelphia Gallery, Goodman and Mockbee Architect's Studio (Jackson), Meridian Community College, Cartmell Gallery, Front Street Gallery and Horne/Marshall Gallery, and has been featured in Southern Living Magazine and Mississippi Magazine.
Horne is currently director of Design with Luke &Kaye Architects.
In describing his work, Horne says, "My subjects and images ancient or unique are a mixture of past and present interpreted in a contemporary manner. The rhythm of color, textures and shapes for my images initiates feelings in the viewer that extend deeper than the image itself.
