Services for Alice Claudine Tisdale will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Philip Williams officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
Mrs. Tisdale, 74, of Meridian, died Monday, Jan. 15, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital. She was a member of Pine Springs Southern Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Tisdale of Meridian; a son, Howard Wayne Tisdale of Amarillo, Texas; a daughter, Cheryl Fitzhugh of Meridian; two sisters, Effie Pat Davis and her husband, C.E. "Red" Davis, of Meridian and Sonjia Harrington of Collinsville; a brother, Bernez Crocker of Russell; four grandchildren, Melissa Rash Spears of Collinsville, Savanna Fitzhugh of Meridian, Kari Tisdale Green of Idaho and Justin Tisdale of Amarillo, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Casey Spears and Austin Spears of Collinsville and Karli Contreras of Idaho.
The pallbearers will be Perry Tubby, Neil Crocker, Linsey Crocker, Larry Jones, Roger Jones and Charles Dearmond.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial services for Harold Ellis Wright will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Meridian. Fairhope Funeral Home and Crematory in Fairhope, Ala. is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wright, 75, of Gulf Shores, Ala., died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2001, at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope, Ala. He was born in Meridian and graduated from Meridian High School in 1944 where he played on the famous 1943-football team, one of the high school teams to play in the Blue Gray game at the Crampton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala. He attended Milsaps College and graduated from Tulane University in 1948, earning a commission in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He served in two different branches of the military as a lieutenant in the active U.S. Naval Reserve and as a captain in the active U.S. Army Reserve. Mr. Wright worked as a civil engineer during his entire working career and served in various capacities for the Mississippi State Department from which he retired in 1984. Road building boomed during his working life, and oversaw the construction and repair of many of the roads and bridges surrounding Meridian and Laurel. He spent his retirement in Gulf Shores, raising cattle and farming.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Iris White Wright of Gulf Shores, a daughter, Stacy Wright Newman; a sister, Ann Wright Williamson of Meridian; four grandchildren, Stacie Dickson Newman, James Blair Newman Jr., Anne Wright Newman and William Ellis Newman, all of Mobile, Ala.
The family requests memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Meridian or Salvation Army or St. Jude's Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.
