Services for Adam Jared White will be held today at 11 a.m. at Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Bird officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The 7-year-old child, of Meridian, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at the University Medical Center in Jackson. He was a first grade student at Poplar Springs Elementary School in Ann Holifield's class. Adam was an avid Nintendo 64 player and a Pokemon fan.
Survivors include his parents, Allen and Dr. Leigh White; a sister, Alexandria White, all of Meridian; his maternal grandparents, Dr. Bobby and Andi Adams of Meridian; his paternal grandmother, Maxine White of Meridian; his maternal great-grandmother, Mary Anglin of Kilmichael; his paternal great-grandmother, Hattie Thibodeau of Eagle Lake, Maine; three aunts, Allison Adams of New York, N.Y., Carol D'Alessandro and her husband, Tony, of New Orleans and Sandy White of Baton Rouge, La.; two uncles, Michael Adams and his wife, Deanna, of Tupelo and Michael White and his wife, Sirpa, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; eight cousins, Christine D'Alessandro, Sarah White, Neal Armstrong, April Armstrong, Jeremy Armstrong, Zachary Adams, Samantha Adams and Eli Adams.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edward White.
The family requests memorials be made to the Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church Children's Gymnasium, 1318 15th Ave., Meridian, MS 39301.
Pallbearers will be Robb Black, Phillip Price, Tim Watkins, Wayne McGee, Wade Etheridge, Bubba Watson, Ivan Cobb and Robert Huffman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ward Calhoun, Greg Creel, Sam Feldman, John Biddle and Adult II School School Class of Fifteenth Avenue.
Visitation will be today beginning at 10 a.m. at the church.

YORK, Ala. Services for Uel McElroy were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jerry Sewell officiating. Burial was in Clay Memorial Cemetery in Cuba.
Mr. McElroy, 91, of Cuba, died, Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at Riley Hospital in Meridian.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Wideman McElroy of Cuba; and several nieces and nephews.
The family requests memorials be made to Cuba Church of God Building Fund, Box 116, Cuba, Ala. 36907.
WILLIAM HUBERT SMITH

PHILADELPHIA Services for William Hubert Smith will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel with the Revs. Dwight Faulkenberry and Jerry Bishop officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Smith, 94, of Madison, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
Survivors include a son, Larry Smith of Madison, and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavelle Todd Smith.
SHARLOTTE JUNE BURNSIDE

PHILADELPHIA Services for Sharlotte June Burnside will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Germantown Baptist Church in Germantown, Tenn., with graveside services at Linwood Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Burnside, 54, of Memphis, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001.
Survivors include a daughter, Joy Harris; a son, Walt Burnside; a brother, Boyd Walton; and two grandchildren.
The family requests memorials be made to the Preschool Ministries, Germantown Baptist Church, 9450 Poplar Ave., Memphis, TN 38139.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the Memphis funeral home.
ELMER CLARK BAUGHMAN

Services for Elmer Clark Baughman will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Baughman, 69, of Meridian, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital. He was a lifetime Mason and will have Mason Rites at his service. He was also a York Rite and a Shriner.
Survivors include his wife, Onita Baughman of Meridian; two daughters, Carolyn Rushing and her husband, Robin, of Sunbright, Tenn., and Kathy Thomas of Meridian; a son, Randy Baughman and his wife, Judy, of Meridian; four sisters, Louise Darnell and Jan Edwards, both of DeKalb, and Mazelle Thrash and Jonnie Clark, both of Meridian; two brothers, James D. Baughman and Ernest "Bud" Baughman, both of DeKalb; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Cooper Baughman.
Pallbearers will be Masons.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
