Boxing returns to Frank Cochran

Mike Tyson isn't on the card, but local boxing promoter David McNeil thinks he's put together quite a lineup for local boxing fans.
Thank goodness, it's one which involves no ear-biting or pay-per-view television.
McNeil and Budweiser have teamed up to bring Brawlin' at the Frank back to Meridian, with a full night of boxing slated for the Frank Cochran Center at Highland Park on Tuesday, Feb. 13.
The biggest name on the card has to be that of Richard Savage, a former IBC lightweight champion of the world.
Savage will fight Michael "The Boss" Moss of Meridian in the featured match of the night.
The card also includes "The Irish Bull" Brad McNeil and "Hands of Steel" Irish Clint McNeil, a pair of well known fighters from Meridian.
Other local boxers on the lineup include Fredie Collins, Tim Meyers, Tony Young and Abel Hernandez.
Ringside seats are available for $20, while general admission tickets are available for $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
Ringside tables are also available for $150, while other tables go for $125.
Joining Budweiser as sponsors for the event are Johnson-Dodge Kia and East Central Construction.
Tickets are available at Novus Glass Service at 420 Front Street Extension; and you may call (601)-485-8625 for more information.
