An Operation Starting Line Rally will be held from 7 to 9 p.m., at Agape Fellowship.
Operation Starting Line (OSL) is a multi-ministry collaboration designed to introduce prisoners throughout the county to the Christian gospel over a five-year period and to disciple to Christian maturity.
The rally is geared to recruiting volunteers to take the gospel to prisoners throughout Mississippi. An OSL Training Session will be held Feb. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Agape Fellowship. And, an OSL campaign will be held in Mississippi April 4-13.

PRESTON A Groundbreaking Ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church for the new church building.
The church is located 3.5 miles west of Preston on Highway 21 south.
A reception honoring the retirement of the Rev. Robert H. Horel will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall of First Presbyterian Church.
Horel is retiring after 33 years in the ministry, 22 years with First Presbyterian.

Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church will celebrate the eighth anniversary of their pastor, the Rev. L.V. Williams, at 3 p.m.
The Rev. T.C. Johnson will be guest minister. Special music will be provided by his membership church choir from Mt. Cephus Primitive Baptist Church at Porterville.

FOREST A luncheon featuring the ministry and comedy of Christian comedienne Chonda Pierce will be presented Jan. 30, 11:30-12:30 p.m., at Best Western.
The daughter of a Nazarene preacher, Pierce takes a humorous look at growing up in the church with stories about what really goes on in the parsonage to "sitting on the second row piano side." Pierce is a regular with Bill and Gloria Gather in their "Homecoming" video series as well as their Praise Gathering Conference. All in attendance will receive a free copy of Pierce's newest comedy video "4-Eyed Blonde."

Ephesus Seventh-Day Adventist Church will host the Biannual Youth Congress of the South Mississippi Youth Federation on Feb. 3 at Highland Baptist Church.
The session will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the theme "Hold on!!!! It Won't Be Long!!!" Events of the day will include morning worship and praise services, health screenings, drug awareness/prevention and a march/parade that will convene at Highland Park at 2:30 p.m.

MADISON A Change Your Life Conference for Women will be held Feb. 9-10 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. The session will be conducted by Becky Tirabassi, a motivational and inspirational speaker, author and founder and president of Becky Tirabassi Change Your Life Inc.
Co-sponsored by Broadmoor Baptist Church of Madison, First Baptist Church of Madison and Ridgecrest, the conference inspires people of all ages to achieve a balanced life by following the Eight Daily To Do's: Eat Right and Exercise Regularly, Forgive and Give, Talk to God and Listen to God, Detail Your Day and Define Your Dream.

The choral music workshop "Lift Every Voice" will begin Feb. 22 at St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Sponsored by the church's Sweet Spirits Inspirational Choir, the workshop will be directed by Jonas Crenshaw Jr. and Eris Jordan. A wide variety of musical selections will be featured, as well as informative sessions for choir members, directors and musicians.
The workshop will culminate on Feb. 25 as the workshop choir is presented in concert at 6 p.m.
