Achievement medal awarded

Major Rhonda G. Mills of Brandon, a member of the 183rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, received the Air Force Achievement Medal on October 4 during ceremonies in Jackson.
Mills, a 1986 graduate of Meridian Community College and a 1995 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi. is the daughter of Calvin and Fleeta Mills. She has two children, John Williamson and Nicole Williamson.
1st Lieutenant Kenneth E. McEntyre Jr. of Meridian was honored recently as a distinguished graduate of the Aerospace Medicine Flight Nurse Course at Brooks Air Force Base in Texas.
McEntyre, a member of the 183rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, is the son of Kenneth and Eleanor L. McEntyre of Meridian. He is married to Robin J. McEntyre and they have a daughter, Molly Elizabeth McEntyre.
Sheila V.M. Bates and Ivy S. Malley, of the Meridian office for American General Career Distribution Group have been awarded the National Sales Achievement Award from the National Association of Insurance and Financial advisors (NAIFA) in Washington, D.C.
The National Sales Achievement Award was created in 1966 to recognize agents who have placed a significant amount of life insurance on many lives during the calendar year.
Ivy S. Malley was also promoted to associate manager at the Meridian office. Malley began her career as an agent in 1998.
