Thames promoted to VP at Citizens NB
Hampton D. Thames has been promoted to the position of a senior vice president at Citizens National Bank.
A native of Vicksburg, Thames joined Citizens National Bank in 1988 and was recently named to the Mississippi Business Journal's Top 40 Under 40.
He is active in the community, having served as the annual program chairman for the Mississippi Junior Miss program for the past three years. He is also past chairman of the Lauderdale County Relay for Life fundraiser.
He and his wife, Michele, attend the Episcopal Church of the Mediator. They have one son, Davis.
Grantham joins Citizens NB as advisor
Vance Grantham has joined Citizens National Bank as a Raymond James Financial Advisor at the bank's North Meridian Banking Centre.
Grantham has 18 years of experience in the securities industry, and has been affiliated with Raymond James Financial Services since 1994. He currently holds Series 7 and Series 63 licenses. His prior experience includes five years as a financial advisor with USF&G Securities. While at USF&G, Vance was named one of the top 10 producers in the United States for three years.
A 1972 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, Vance holds a degree in Personnel Management and Business Administration. He also attended Meridian Community College. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club, a charter member of the Lauderdale County Forestry Association, and a past president of Meridian Little Theatre's Board of Directors.
He and his wife, Ranae, have two sons: J. and Beau. The family attends Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church.
Bank of York to build branch in Livingston
LIVINGSTON, Ala. The Bank of York will break ground Tuesday for a new branch bank to be located here on Highway 11.
Construction of the 3,000 square foot building will start later this month with completion slated for sometime this summer. The branch will be a full service operation with three drive-up teller lanes, four customer service stations and two offices providing loan and customer assistance. The branch will also have an automatic teller.
The groundbreaking is planned for 3 p.m.
Tuck's forum focuses on small business needs
Lt. Gov. Amy Tuck will be in Meridian Monday for an informational forum about small business.
The meeting will be held at the Union Station with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. The forum begins at 9 a.m., and will last about an hour and a half.
Joining Tuck will be representatives from various state agencies which can assist small businesses. Tuck is developing legislation will increase the availability and awareness of state aid for small business.
Small business owners and people who may be about to start a small business are urged to attend.
