OBITUARIES FOR THURSDAY, FEB. 22, 2001

HENRY MOSLEY POWE
Services for Henry Mosley Powe will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Henry Powe, 90, of Flint, Mich. died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2001, at Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
Survivors include two daughters, Annie Roberts and her husband, Paul, of Flint and Obbie Tyson and her husband, Willie, of Flint; two sons, Johnnie B. Powe and his wife, Louise, and Oddie C. Powe, all of East St. Louis, Ill.; and 19 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
REV. BROOKS O. DRAKE
Retired Cook for VA Hospital
Services for the Rev. Brooks O. Drake will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at El Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. M.L. Sampson officiating. Burial will be in Unity Spring Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
The Rev. Drake, 73, of Meridian, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice.
Survivors include a daughter, Janie Drake of Marietta, Ga.; a son, Curtis Nathaniel Drake of Meridian; a brother, Leon Drake and his wife, Dora, of Meridian; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home and beginning at noon at the church.
