Friday night's game between Quitman and Northeast Jones was postponed due to inclement weather.
The contest was just one of a host of area prep and college baseball games that will have to be rescheduled.
Today's contest between QHS and West Lauderdale was also postponed. Makeup dates for these games as well as an earlier postponement with the Panthers and Wayne County have not been set.
Quitman's tentative schedule for next week, weather permitting, is as follows: Monday, hosting NE Jones, Tuesday hosting Mendenhall at 5 p.m., traveling to Laurel on Friday and hosting Meridian on Saturday.
In other rainouts, Meridian Community College's scheduled doubleheader today with Lincoln Trail College has been postponed.
Sunday's game with Shelton State is also expected to be postponed. No official makeup dates have been set.
