LAURA SMITH STEWART
QUITMAN Services for Laura Smith Stewart will be held today at 2 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Desoto Cemetery.
Mrs. Stewart, 81, of Quitman, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at Lakeside Living Center.
Survivors include four sons, Michael W. Smith and Mark Smith, both of Quitman, Thomas R. Smith and Donnie R. Smith, both of Stonewall; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Cliff Smith and Luther Stewart.
LUCILLE JUMPER GOODMAN
Retired knitter for hosiery mill
Graveside services for Lucille Jumper Goodman will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Goodwater Cemetery with the Rev. Ben Brewer officiating. Stephens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Goodman, 86, of Richton, died Sunday, March 4, 2001, at Perry County Nursing Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Hegwood of Sacramento, Calif. and Linda McDill of Petal; a son, Billy Joe Jumper of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Maggie White of Meridian; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
LAURA DUDLEY BROWN
Employee of the Mississippi School for the Deaf
JACKSON Services for Laura Dudley Brown will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Utica Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown, 89, of Jackson, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. She worked for the Mississippi School for the Deaf while her husband was superintendent between 1944-1974. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Jackson. She was a faithful member of the Official Mississippi Women's Club, the James Foster Chapter of DAR and the Ateneo Club. She was a faithful christian, an unselfish loving mother and friend to all.
Survivors include four sons, Robert S. Brown Jr., William Thomas "Bill" Brown and Ben F. Brown, all of Jackson and Richard E. Brown of Columbia, La.; a daughter, Betty Brown Mobley of Utica; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Brown.
The family requests memorials be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1390 N. State, Jackson, MS 39202; the American Cancer Society, 1380 Livingston Road, Jackson, MS 39213 or a favorite charity.
Visitation will be today from 4-7 p.m. and Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
LEO MARION HESTER
Services for Leo Marion Hester will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Union Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hester, 84, of Quitman, died Sunday, March 4, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
HUGH DALTON WILLIAMS
UNION Services for Hugh Dalton Williams will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael G. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Greenland Cemetery.
Mr. Williams, 63, of Jackson, Ga., died Sunday, March 4, 2001, in Georgia.
Survivors include a sister, Wilma Lucroy of Pearl; and a brother, Jerry Williams of Arkansas.
Visitation will be Wednesday from noon-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Louise Espey, 80, of Meridian, who died Monday, March 5, 2001, at Alliance Hospice.

Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Catherine Kent of Meridian who died Sunday, March 4, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice.

Arrangements were incomplete at James F. Webb Funeral Home for Clifton Robertson, 54, of Meridian, who died Sunday, March 4, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
