Red Cross hosting CPR classes
March is Red Cross month and the American Red Cross Key Chapter will be hosting a CPR class March 17, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Meeting Place at Bonita Lakes Mall. Participants will receive certification in adult CPR and will receive a voucher for infant and child certification at a later date.
Preregistration will be accepted prior to March 14 for a $25 fee. Late registration is $30 and is available the day of the event from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. The course is open to anyone 13 years of age or older. Registration is limited to 35 participants.

March of Dimes training March 13
Team captains' training for Meridian's March of Dimes WalkAmerica will be held March 13 at Citizens National Bank. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. on the 5th floor. Meridian's WalkAmerica is scheduled for April 28. To attend, please RSVP to Julie at (800) 842-5117 or e-mail Jcrump@modimes.org.

MSO to present concert
The Meridian Symphony Orchestra will present the fourth concert of the 40th anniversary season on March 18. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the Emma McCain Theater at Ivy Hall, on the campus of Meridian Community College.
A pre-concert lecture by Maestro Claire Fox Hillard and guest artist Miroslav Loncar begins at 7 p.m. at MCC's Casteel Gallery. The concert is entitled "The Splendor of Spain." Tickets may be purchased at the door for $15; $12 for seniors/military; and $8 for students. Children under 12 are free.

Council on Aging to hold meeting
The next meeting of the Lauderdale County Council on Aging will be held March 16, at 2 p.m., at the Senior Citizens Center. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss an addition to the bylaws. May is Older Americans Month, and several events will be held during the month for Lauderdale County residents 55 years of age and older.

Bonita Lakes Saddle club to meet
The Bonita Lakes Saddle Club will meet Thursday at the Ole Farm Beef House. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. with the meeting to begin at 7 p.m. Members and people interested in equestrian activities in the Meridian area are encouraged to attend. For information, call 485-3079.
Transplant support group to meet
If you have had an organ transplant, if you or a family member is in need of an organ transplant, or if you want to learn more about organ transplantation and donation, the Meridian Transplant/Donor Support Group will meet March 10, at 3 p.m., in the Jeff Anderson Hospital Auditorium. The public is invited to attend.
In addition to transplant recipients and those in need of transplants, the support group welcomes members of the medical community and donor family members.

4-H Club presents barrel run
