Clinton The following students have been named to the Dean's List at Mississippi College: Roy Andrew Dabbs, Cristie Lee Green, Heather Lane Johnson, Jennifer Faye Reynolds, all of Meridian; and Leigh Ellen Ammon of Collinsville.
To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must maintain a 3.5 or better grade point average based on a 4.0 system.
The following students have been named to the President's List at Mississippi College: Kelly Andrea Barker, Erin Dale Barkley, Karen Emily Hand, Kristen Paige Johnson, Rebecca Sara-Nell McCarty and Jon Davis McLaughlin, all of Meridian; and Mindy Brooke Espey of Collinsville.
To be eligible for the President's List, a student must maintain a 4.0 or all A's based on a 4.0 system.
Ruston, La. James Brian Machamer of Meridian has been named to the Dean's Honor List at Louisiana Tech University.
To be eligible for the Dean's Honor List, a student is required to earn at least a 3.5 academic grade point average with no grade lower than a C.
Blue Mountain Sandra L. Foster and Lori M. Sanders, both of Meridian, were named to the President's List at Blue Mountain College.
To be eligible for the President's List, a student must maintain a 4.0 grade-point average.
Radford, Va. XinXin Wu of Midland graduated from Radford University with a bachelor of science degree in computer science.
Brian Joseph Smith of Meridian was named to the Dean's List at Samford University. He is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Douglas Smith.
To qualify for the honor, a student must have earned minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0.
Ashland, Wis. Sarah Johnson has been named to the Dean's List at Northland College. She is the daughter of Robin and Joe Johnson of Meridian.
To qualify for the Dean's List, full-time students must have a grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale with no grade less than a "C."
Julia Affonso will be joining the Corella family of Meridian as a foreign exchange student from Brazil. She will become a student at Meridian High School.
As a member of the Corella family, Julia will participate in all family activities, from vacations to household chores. While sharing the culture of Brazil with her host family and schoolmates, she will learn about U.S. culture.
Alfonso is participating in A Youth For Understanding (YFU) International Exchange Program.
Cleveland Jared N. Yates of Meridian was named to the President's List of Delta Scholars at Delta State University.
To qualify, students must earn 3.80 to 4.00 grade point average.
Darrick Petersen of Meridian was named to the Dean's List at Murray State University.
To qualify, students must achieve a grade point average ranging from 3.5 to a 4.0.
Hattiesburg Ashley Elizabeth Carter of Meridian was included on the President's List for the fall semester at the University of Southern Mississippi. President's List scholars at USM must maintain a 4.0 grade point average.
Columbus Shawyonia L. Pettigrew of Lauderdale received a bachelor of arts degree in December from The Mississippi University For Women.
PROVIDENCE Keoshya Shenae Walker of Meridian has been accepted to Johnson &Wales University.
The Meridian High School student is scheduled to graduate this year. She plans to major in computers/business application.
Walker is the daughter of Jeanette Walker Bolden.
