Union wins in Taylorsville Tournament

The Union Yellow Jackets came back from an early deficit to hand stringer a 9-3 loss in the final day of the Taylorsville Tournament Saturday.
UHS pounded out nine hits and the Devils (4-4) hurt their chances by committing five errors on the afternoon.
Wes Henry improved to 1-1 by striking out two and walking none in four innings of work. UHS only committed one error.
Jody Blount and Jeremy Ham both had 2-for-3 efforts for the Yellow Jackets, who improved to 7-5.
Chad McCarty took the loss for the Devils and Tyler Yelverton highlighted the Stringer hitting attack with a double.
Union returns home to host the Nanih Waiya Warriors on Tuesday.
