FLORANCE AMELIA SHELTON

Graveside services for Florance Amelia Shelton will be held today at 11 a.m. at Toomsuba Cemetery with the Revs. Timmy Shelton and Charlie Shelton officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Shelton, 78, of Toomsuba, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, in her home. She was a retired nurse's aide for Rush Foundation Hospital and a member of Toomsuba Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Isaac P. Shelton, of Toomsuba; three daughters, Alma Shelton and Juanita Yeager, both of Toomsuba, and Mary McLelmore of Meridian; three sons, James "Bud" Shelton and Jimmy Shelton, both of Toomsuba, and Jearold Shelton of Vimville; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
CLAUDIE JANE BANCROFT

VICKSBURG Services for Claudie Jane Bancroft will be held today at 11 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Paul Lee and Terry White officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian at 2:30 p.m. today.
Mrs. Bancroft, 97, of Vicksburg, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Parkview Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Clarice Waller of Vicksburg; two granddaughters, six great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Aubrey Bancroft; a son-in-law, John F. Waller; and a grandson, Davie F. Waller.
DYLON CHARLEY
SEBASTOPOL Services for Dylon Charley will be held today at 2 p.m. at Faith Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Shelly Peoples and Raymond Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Isaac Cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Infant Charley, 3-months-old, of Philadelphia, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at University Medical Center.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Kay Ludlow, his father, Eric Shane Charley, a sister, Breanna Ludlow and his paternal grandparents, Vernon and Nancy Thomas, all of Philadelphia; his maternal grandparents, Ed and Lucy McKinney of Oklahoma; and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Osmond Ludlow.
BETTIE LOUISE GARRISON
Retired hostess, Rush Foundation Hospital ICU and CCU waiting room
Services for Bettie Louise Garrison will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Sam Hull officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Garrison, 85, of Meridian, died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at Benchmark Health Care. She was a member of East End United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a brother, E.P. Rawson, of Jackson; a stepson, Buddy Garrison, of Maryland; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.L. "Banty" Garrison; a son, Robert Ratcliff; and a granddaughter.
Visitation will be today from 1:30 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
U.L. WELCH

NEWTON Services for U.L. "Speck" Welch will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Paul Demoney and John Harold Bethune officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence Cemetery.
Mr. Welch, 91, of Newton, formerly of Lawrence, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice in Meridian. He was a member of Lawrence Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Mae Farish Welch of Newton; two sons, Paul Welch and his wife, Dale Lewis Welch, of Newton and Jimmy Welch and his wife, Connie Riley Welch, of Decatur; five grandchildren, Terry Welch, Dewayne Hamrick, Regina Franks, Angelia Massey and James "Jamie" P. Welch; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Mattie Farmer Welch; a son, Larry Welch; and a daughter, Martha Welch.
Pallbearers will be Terry Welch, Dewayne Hamrick, James "Jamie" Welch, Mark Massey, Stacey Franks and Clay Chapman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Byrne, Bill Hand, James Walter Chapman and W.L. Freeman.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
