NEWELL, PRITCHARD
Dr. and Mrs. David Newell of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Christina Anne, to Anthony Pritchard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Pritchard of McBee, S.C.
The wedding will be held Saturday, April 21, 2001, at 2 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Meridian.
Miss Newell is the granddaughter of Helen Newell of Meridian and the late David C. Newell Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Dan Rush.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School and attended the University of West Alabama. She is a graduate of the University of Mississippi Medical Center with a degree in physical therapy. While attending UMC, she was president of the Physical Therapy Class of 2000. At UWA, she was a member of the Ozark Region Champion Girls Rodeo Team.
Miss Newell is employed by Rush Foundation Hospital.
Mr. Pritchard is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Fant Pritchard of McBee and the late Mr. and Mrs. Alex Scott.
A graduate of McBee High School, the bridegroom-elect attended Southern Arkansas University and the University of West Alabama, where he was a member of the rodeo teams.
While at SAU, he was the Champion Steer Wrestler and All-Around Champion for the Ozark region.
Mr. Pritchard is employed by the Mississippi Department of Agriculture.
A reception will be held at St. Patrick Family Life Center following the ceremony.

SYKES, HAGUEWOOD
Joni Denise Sykes and Christopher Lee Haguewood, both of Meridian, will be united in marriage on Saturday, March 31, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Merrehope.
Parents of the couple are Sybil D. Sykes of Meridian, Donald E. Sykes of Quitman and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Haguewood of Meridian.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Nellie Sykes of Quitman and the late Tommy Sykes; Josie and H.C. Dearman of Quitman and the late Mary Alice Dearman of Meridian.
Miss Sykes is a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School and received an associate of arts degree in marketing management technology from Meridian Community College.
She is employed by Rush Foundation Hospital.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Lucille and Paul Goldman of Quitman, the late Russell Underwood and Leo and Ina Haguewood of Meridian.
Mr. Haguewood, a graduate of Southeast Lauderdale High School, is employed by Riley Construction Company.
A reception will be held at Merrehope following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
MEADOR, WILKINSON
Guy and Abbie Meador of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Angie Marie, to Sidney Lee Wilkinson, son of Gary and Sally Wilkinson of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, April 28, 2001, at 2 p.m. at Jones Chapel Church of God.
Miss Meador is the granddaughter of Lois Marie Dyer of Coker, Ala., the late Jimmy Dyer of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Mr. and Mrs. Henry S. Meador of Meridian.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Clarkdale High School and is employed by Meridian Medical Associates.
Mr. Wilkinson is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Carl John Olander and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie S. Wilkinson, all of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Ooltewah High School and a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Mr. Wilkinson is employed by Citizens National Bank.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony.
