Services for Minnie Lee Conard will be held today at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tommy Gilbert officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs. Conard, 93, of Meridian, died Thursday, March 22, 2001, in her home. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Vera Conard Downs and Ann Conard and a son, Linford W. Conard Jr. and his wife, Mallene, all of Meridian; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.W. Conard Sr.
U.L. WELCH

NEWTON Services for U.L. "Speck" Welch will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home chapel with the Revs. Paul Demoney and John Harold Bethune officiating. Burial will be in Lawrence Cemetery.
Mr. Welch, 91, of Newton, formerly of Lawrence, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice in Meridian. He was a member of Lawrence Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Mae Farish Welch of Newton; two sons, Paul Welch and his wife, Dale Lewis Welch, of Starkville and Jimmy Welch and his wife, Connie Riley Welch, of Decatur; five grandchildren, Terry Welch, Dewayne Hamrick, Regina Franks, Angelia Massey and James "Jamie" P. Welch; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Mattie Farmer Welch; a son, Larry Welch; and a daughter, Martha Welch.
Pallbearers will be Terry Welch, Dewayne Hamrick, James "Jamie" Welch, Mark Massey, Stacey Franks and Clay Chapman.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Byrne, Bill Hand, James Walter Chapman and W.L. Freeman.

NEWTON Graveside services for Lois Hopkins Cate will be held today at 1 p.m. at Hickory Cemetery with the Rev. Gerald Chaney officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Cate, 75, of Nashville and formerly of Hickory, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Belcourt Terrace Nursing Home.
Survivors include three sons, David Cate of Old Hickory, Tenn., Cooper Cate and Marshall Cate, both of Nashville; a daughter, Canby Marini of Nashville; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Oliver and Bess Hopkins.
LYDA HARRISON NORRELL

QUITMAN Services for Lyda Harrison Norrell will be held today at 2 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Rex Yancey and Grady Crowell officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
Mrs. Norrell, 88, of New Market, Ala., died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at her residence. She was born in Choctaw County and was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Gardner of Morrow, Ga., and Cindy Lancaster of New Market; a sister, Flossie Stallworth of Quitman; five grandchildren, Max Gardner Jr. and Tonya Lancaster, both of Alpharetta, Ga., Lillie Ann Thomas of Greensboro, Ohio; Monica Hayes of Huntsville, Ala., and Alicia Crow of Birmingham, Ala.; eight great-grandchildren, William Stuart Thomas, Susan Allen Thomas, Jacob Thomas, Emily Gardner, Abigail Gardner, Katie Hayes, Carter Hayes and Will Crow.
She was preceded in death by her husband, I.O. Norrell, and two sisters, Bessie Bishop and Flora Sheffield.
The family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church in Quitman.
JUTTIE LEE BUCKLEY ISHEE

Services for Juttie Lee Buckley Ishee will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dr. Malcolm Lewis, John Hoffman and Campbell officiating. Burial will be in Chunky Cemetery.
Mrs. Ishee, 92, of Marion, died Friday, March 23, 2001, at Benchmark Health Care. She was a member of Northcrest Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, William M. Ishee and his wife, Bessie, of Meridian; two daughters, Mary Crouch and her husband, Leroy, of Chunky, and Sarah Bonis and her husband, George, of Danberry, Conn.; a sister, Essie Mae Buckley Johnson of Chunky; a brother, Harvey Buckley of Chunky; five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Ishee, and a grandson, John Shirley.
Pallbearers include Doug Ishee, Zane Crouch, Ben Shirley, Jimmy Johnson, Jackie Johnson and Tony Johnson.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
