Safety class planned for teen-age drivers

Finding a happy medium for parents and children drivers may be easier after a driver safety class designed just for teen-agers.
To get the facts about teen driving will be discussed "openly and honestly" at Riley Hospital's first driver safety course for teen-agers 15-18 years of age, Carter said.
The class is set for April 12 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the basement of Riley's Educational building, located on 10th Street between Constitution Avenue and 22nd Avenue.
Carter said the statistics on Mississippi's teen-age drivers are alarming.
Carter said after 27 years on the job with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, he has seem untold numbers of fatal crashes involving teen-agers.
Cornish and Carter say they agree that most teen-agers do not realize how quickly their lives can change behind the wheel until it is too late.
To register for the class, contact Deanna Cornish at 484-3563.
