WAYNE M. GRESSETT
SAN ANTONIO Memorial services for Wayne M. Gressett will be held Friday at 4:30 p.m. at Porter Loring North Chapel. A memorial service will also be held at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Collinsville, Miss., on Saturday, April 14, at 2 p.m. Interment of his ashes will be held at a later date in Biloxi National Cemetery.
Mr. Gressett, 54, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, in San Antonio. He was born on April 12, 1946, in Meridian to Monroe and Ruth (Jones) Gressett.
He was president and CEO of ETS K-12 Works, a subsidiary of Educational Testing Service, Princeton, N.J. He attended East Mississippi Junior College and received his bachelor's degree, two master's degrees, and a Ph.D degree in Educational Psychology/School Psychology from Mississippi State University.
He served in the U.S. Air Force attaining the rank of SGT-E4. He was a long-time resident of Starkville, holding several positions with the Special Education Division of the Mississippi State Department of Education and with Oktibbeha County (MS) Schools. He left his position as Assistant Superintendent of Oktibbeha County Schools in 1989 and joined The Psychological Corporation, a test publishing company, as the measurement consultant for Mississippi and Alabama. He also served as an adjunct professor for the Meridian Branch of Mississippi State University. While residing in Mississippi, Wayne served on numerous task forces and committees for the State Department of Education. He served as Campaign Chairperson for North Mississippi for gubernatorial candidate, Ray Mabus.
Mr. Gressett was selected as a participant in the 46th Annual Superintendents Work Conference, Teachers College, and Columbia University (1987). In 1992 he moved to the San Antonio office of The Psychological Corporation as Director of Clinical Sales and Marketing. He held several other positions during his employment with The Psychological Corporation, the most recent being vice president for sales and marketing for Harcourt Educational Measurement. He was named president and CEO of ETS K-12 Works in September 2000. Wayne was a member of several professional organizations, including the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). He received several awards from NASP for his personal and corporate support of its Minority Scholarship Program, and was recently appointed chair of the Minority Scholarship Advisory Committee.
He is survived by his wife, Jan Ruthven Gressett of San Antonio; a son, Shane Gressett and his wife, Kathryn Primm, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; two sisters, Faye Lee and her husband, Jimmy, of Collinsville and Sara Gressett of Winter Park, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

ROY A. BOUCHILLON

O'FALLON, Mo. Services for Roy A. Bouchillon will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Tilghman Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial will be in Liberty Universalist Church Cemetery with Baue Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bouchillon, 95, of O'Fallon, died Monday, March 26, 2001, at Garden View Care Center.
Survivors include a son, John Bouchillon and a daughter-in-law, Lana Bouchillon, both of O'Fallon; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Mitchell and his parents, John Kirk and Ossie Bouchillon.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Tilghman Funeral Home in Louisville.
NOLIA MCDONALD
Retired seamstress
DEKALB Services for Nolia McDonald will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church in Collinsville with the Rev. Chester Davis Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McDonald, 78, of Collinsville, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include her sister, Velma Jordan of Meridian; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and four siblings.
Visitation will be Friday from 7-8 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Chapel in Meridian.
SAMUEL EDWARD COCKRELL SR.
Services for Samuel Edward Cockrell Sr. will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Christopher Von Cockrell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery with James L. Osby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cockrell, 76, of Meridian, died Monday, March 26, 2001, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include his wife, Annie M. Cockrell of Meridian; two sons, Samuel Edward Cockrell Jr. of Meridian and the Rev. Christopher Von Cockrell of Slidell, La.; three brothers, Emmanuel Cockrell of Mobile, Ala., George Cockrell of Baltimore, Md. and Eugene Cockrell of Meridian; five sisters, Mary Etta Cockrell Barton, Alice Faye Cockrell Gibbs, Octavia Cockrell Gentry, Elanore Cockrell Moody, all of Baltimore, and Annie Beatrice Cockrell Connely of Atlanta.
Visitation will be Friday from 6-7:30 p.m. at the church.
ANNIE J. AMERSON
Services for Annie J. Amerson will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Parker officiating. Burial will be in Daleville Cemetery.
Mrs. Amerson, 63, of Meridian, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Louis Amerson Sr. of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two sons, Joe Louis Amerson Jr. of West Palm Beach and Thomas James Amerson of Meridian; two daughters, Sharon Loraine Amerson of West Palm Beach and Carolyn Fay Williams of Louisiana; her mother, Annie Lee "Janie" McNeal of Meridian; a sister, Ira Lee Dawson of Meridian; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
ROBERT SIMMONS
Retired
Services for Robert Simmons will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Levern Williams officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Simmons, 78, of Meridian, died Tuesday, March 27, 2001, at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie Green, two sons, James Earl Green and Marcus A. Green, two stepsons, Ozzie Green and Jerry L. Green, four stepdaughters, Eloise Green, Brenda Louise Landrum, Loria Hampton and Angela D. Green, five grandchildren, 28 step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren, all of Meridian.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Simmons Jr.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
