Carmichael ready to open Contractor's Square

An office, garage and warehouse under the same roof.
That's what Gil Carmichael is offering small contractors and businesses with his new development off Highway 39.
Right now, there are no walls inside the building but it won't be long until that work starts. Carmichael said the building should be open and in use within 30 days. Each area will have a handicap-accessible bathroom.
Carmichael said his customers will have different needs, and he is building with that in mind. One side of the building will be for clients wanting warehouse and storage space. The driveway on that side will be made of loose rocks. The other side will be reserved for those wanting retail and office space, and that side will have a paved parking lot.
He is already in negotiations with three businesses. Two of the potential clients want two areas, back-to-back.
One business is interested in using one of the spaces for retail and an office. The other area is to be used for warehousing and storage.
The building was designed by Kevin Locke, who also oversaw the construction. Prices start at $800 per month per area.
