KING, SANDRIDGE
Mr. and Mrs. Ennis King of Waynesboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Melinda Ann, to Gregory Todd Sandridge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Sandridge of Brandon.
The wedding will be held Saturday, April 28, 2001, at 6:30 p.m. at Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Brandon.
Miss King is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James King and Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher Bishop, all of Waynesboro.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Wayne County High School and an honors graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, with a bachelor's degree in education and psychology.
While attending USM, she was a member of Phi Mu sorority and the Dixie Darlings Dance Team. She was selected Miss Southern 1997, Miss Hattiesburg 1998 and won the title of Miss Mississippi 1998.
She is employed by Merck Pharmaceuticals in Jackson.
Mr. Sandridge is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dyke Sandridge of Hernando; Gwen Lane of Brandon and the late Harold Lane.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Northwest Rankin High School and received a bachelor of science degree in advertising from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Mr. Sandridge is employed by Organon Pharmaceuticals in Jackson.
A reception will be held at Colonial Country Club in Jackson following the ceremony.
MORGAN, SIMKINS
Michele Lynn Morgan and Capt. James Steven Simkins will be united in marriage on Saturday, May 12, 2001, at 2 p.m. in the Post Chapel at Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg.
Parents of the couple are Linda Morgan of Tupelo, Charles Morgan of Pontotoc and Mr. and Mrs. William "Bill" Simkins of Decatur.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Morgan of Fordyce, Ark., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Tarnbow of Shreveport, La.
Miss Morgan is a graduate of Pontotoc High School and received a bachelor of science degree from Mississippi State University.
While attending MSU, she was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi, Mississippi Association of Psychology in the School and National Association of School Psychology.
She is currently pursuing a master's degree in school psychology at MSU.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Leyla McMullan of Decatur and the late Langston Simkins; Mittie Louttarris of Decatur and the late James C. Harris.
Mr. Simkins is a graduate of Hampton High School and received a bachelor of arts degree in history from Mississippi State University. He is currently serving in the U.S. Army and is stationed at Camp Shelby.
A reception will be held at the Officer's Club at Camp Shelby following the ceremony.
