Eagles pick up big win on the road

The Meridian Community College baseball team picked up a big Miss-Lou conference win over Bossier Parish Community College (29-10) Sunday afternoon to improve to its season record to 22-10.
With the score locked at 5-5 and the bases loaded in the ninth inning, Tyler Scarborough stepped to the plate for the Eagles.
Scarbrough connected for a three-run triple to give MCC the 8-5 win.
Scarbrough led the Eagles at the plate with a 3-for-4 performance including the ninth-inning triple, a double and a single.
Antoin Gray went 3-for-5 for MCC.
The Eagles had 11 hits and only one error in the ballgame, compared to Bossier Parish's eight hits and two errors.
Kurt Mclellan picked up the win on the mound for the Eagles to up his season tally to 6-2.
Mark Alleman suffered the loss for Bossier Parish.
The Eagles return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Mississippi Delta Community College for a 3 p.m. game.
