Nanih Waiya's Matthew Warren tossed a perfect game Saturday to lead the Warriors to a 6-0 win over Ethel.
Warren struck out 16 Tigers to even his record at 4-4. At the plate, Warren had a pair of singles.
Josh Weaver added a home run, Brian Heard had a triple, Brett Blackwell and Brandon Walker both had a double, and Cody Stokes had a single and a double for the Warriors.
Wayne County 8, Laurel 6: The War Eagles played their penultimate game of the season Saturday, and it turned out to be a strange one.
Laurel head coach Luke Leggett was ejected in the third inning for arguing balls and strikes with the home plate umpire.
But Leggett held up the game, as he failed to leave the field in a timely manner, doing everything from placing a batting tee on home plate to going into the press box to make derogatory placards.
After the umpires initially called the game a forfeit win for Wayne County, they conferred with security and decided to continue playing.
The War Eagles, up 1-0, added three more to the lead in the third. Four more scores in the fourth would provide Bubba Hathorn's group with enough cushion to take the victory.
Colby Heathcock led the way at the plate with a 3-for-4 day that included a double. Scoot Saul went 2-for-3. Ty Lawson and Robert West each had a pair of RBIs. Michael Palmer added another, and Akeem Lofton chipped in with a double.
Marcus Powe collected the mound win to up his mark to 2-2. Brant Busby took the loss.
Laurel, 11-12, was led by John Moffett's 2-for-4 effort.
Wayne County, 11-11, which lost seven games to rain, will wrap up its season Tuesday with a game against Meridian at 7 p.m. at John Moss Field.
Lake 12, Newton County 8: Lake used a seven-run seventh inning to defeat the Cougars at Decatur.
Eric Watkins went 3-for-4 with a triple to lead Lake. Brandon Burrus went 3-for-4 with a double.
Jake Nester had a single and a double, while Eric Gunn and Jason Massey both had two singles.
Watkins was the winning pitcher.
David McConnell had two triples for Newton County. Josh Avant went 2-for-2 with a triple, while Mylan Anderson was 2-for-3 with a three-bagger.
Matt Boggan had two singles, while Adam Bout added a home run.
Jonathan Walker (2-4) took the loss as the Cougars fell to 7-11.
West Lauderdale 14, Greensboro, Ala. 0: Todd Doolittle struck out 10 in four innings and drove in five runs to lead the Knights to the win.
Doolittle had a double and a homer as West improved to 23-1. Josh Snider had two doubles and a homer to plate a pair of runs. Brad McKee went 2-for-3 with a double, while Van Wilson added a double.
West had a dozen hits while Thomasville had only three.
Ross Calahan took the loss as Thomasville fell to 12-7.
The Knights travel to Louisville Tuesday for a 7 p.m. contest.
Union 12, Newton 3: The Yellow Jackets improved to 16-8 with the afternoon win at Union.
Justin Darby hit a two-run homer for Union, while Brooks Vance went 3-for-5 with a double. B.J. Norton and Jody Blount both had a pair of singles.
Wes Henry (2-2) got the win.
Zack Logan went 3-for-4 for Newton. Lucas Poole took the loss.
Neshoba Central 15, Carthage 4: Wes Turner had four hits to lead the Rockets to the midday win at Carthage.
Turner had three singles and a double as Neshoba improved to 15-7. Jacob Townsend had three hits including a three-run homer. Timothy Fieber had a single and a pair of doubles. Cody Morrow had two singles, while Trent Butler added a double.
Turner (6-3) struck out eight in a complete game outing.
Sebastopol 4, Neshoba Central 3: The Bobcats scored three times in the bottom of the sixth inning to beat the Rockets in the afternoon contest at Carthage.
Anthony Steele had two singles and a double to lead Neshoba, 15-8. Wes Turner and Jacob Townsend both had a double.
Jud Byars (2-2) took the loss.
Friday's late games
Quitman 8, Laurel 4: Quitman scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to go up 8-1 and then held off a late Laurel rally to take the Division 5-4A win.
Matt Creighton (6-3) got the win as the Panthers improved to 13-7.
Lorenzo White had four hits to lead the Panther offense, while Creighton and Chris Fagan both had two hits.
West Lowndes 9, Philadelphia 5: Lamar Gillespie (4-1) got the win as the Panthers beat the Tornadoes in a Division 5-2A matchup at Motley.
West Lowndes improved to 11-5, while Philadelphia dropped to 15-7.
Hunter Holley (4-1) took the loss.
Philadelphia got a double and a triple from Jeff Kilgore, a double and a homer from Ty Culpepper, and a double from Tyler Threadgill.
Neshoba Central 12, Noxubee County 0: Timothy Fieber (1-0) struck out six as the Rockets upped their record to 14-7 with the win at Philadelphia.
Chris Owen had three singles for Neshoba, while Anthony Steele had a double and a triple. Jacob Townsend hit a double and Wes Turner added a pair of singles.
Neshoba improved to 7-3 in Division 2-4A with the win.
Magee 14, Heidelberg 1: The Oilers dropped the Division 7-3A game at Heidelberg.
Josh Melton (2-1) tossed a one-hitter as the Trojans upped their record to 11-9.
Heidelberg fell to 2-12.
Morton 9, Bay Springs 1: Morton snapped a 1-1 tie with six runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take the Division 6-2A win at Morton.
Lee Fairchild (4-1) got the win as Morton improved to 20-4.
St. Aloysius 11, Sebastopol 1: The Flashes scored four times in both the second and sixth frames to beat the Bobcats in Division 6-1A action at Vicksburg.
Ryan Hearn (6-0) got the win with a two-hitter as the Flashes improved to 15-1.
David Phillips took the loss for the Bobcats.
