Philly fast pitch team pulls out 9-8 win over Neshoba Central

Philadelphia scored a run in the# bottom of the seventh inning to post a 9-8 win over Neshoba Central in fast-pitch softball action Tuesday night.
Philadelphia scored six runs in the bottom of the third inning to go up 6-0 only to have Neshoba close to within 6-5 with a five-run fourth frame.
The Lady Tornadoes added two runs in the bottom of the fifth to go up 8-5.
The Lady Rockets pulled even with three runs in the top of the sixth.
Philadelphia, 12-5, was led by Mandy Eakes who had four singles. Jennie Battle had a single and a triple. Rhonda Munn had two singles and three RBIs. Jhaun Sparnecht had a pair of singles. Kristal Moore had a double and two RBIs, while Morgan Price had two RBIs.
Battle (10-5) got the win, while Lindsey Smith (6-7) took the loss.
Smith had three singles for the Lady Rockets, 6-7.
Philadelphia outhit Neshoba 14-6, but committed seven errors to only one for the Lady Rockets.
Philadelphia closes out its season Thursday at Enterprise at 6 p.m.
Neshoba returns to action Thursday when the Lady Rockets host Newton at 5 p.m.
Monday's late results
Philadelphia 5, Neshoba Central 3: Jennie Battle, Rhonda Munn, and Jhaun Sparnecht each had two of Philadelphia's six hits as the Lady Tornadoes took the win at Neshoba Central.
Philadelphia scored single runs in the second and third frames to go up 2-0 before the Lady Rockets drew even with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third.
Philadelphia tallied three times in the top of the sixth for the win.
Battle (9-5) got the win as Philadelphia improved to 11-5.
Lindsey Smith (6-6) took the loss for Neshoba, 6-6.
