The Meridian Community College golf team picked up its third first-place hardware of the spring as it claimed the Hinds Community College Invitational in Raymond on Tuesday at Eagle Ridge Country Club.
The Eagles carded a team total of 302, which gave them a nine-shot victory over host Hinds.
East Mississippi Community College's Matt King fired a 72 to take home medalist honors as he bested MCC's Dan Luke (73) by one stroke.
Lou Hart's squad took a huge step towards realizing its dream of winning the Region 23 tournament as the A-team has now won its last three tournaments of the spring.
Followed by Luke's 73, Morgan Stewart shot a 75, while Jamie Sullivan carded a 76 and Brandon Laird chipped in with a 78.
Gulf Coast came in third with a 314 while the East Mississippi Lions placed fourth by posting a 315.
The MCC White team (330) was fifth on Monday in the Trustmark Copiah-Lincoln Invitational at Wolf Hollow Golf Club in Wesson.
EMCC finished a stroke behind the Eagles with 331.
Cameron Hunt (80), Amir Hunt (81), Chris Davis (84), and Nick Swanner (85) made up MCC's team total of 330.
The Eagles will tee it up again on April 24-25 in Hattiesburg at Pine Burr Country Club for the Region 23 Tournament.
