Former Meridian High standout and Florida Gator Kenyatta Walker will return to his hometown today to host the inaugural "Kenyatta Walker and Friends Spring Fling" at the Boys and Girls Club of Lauderdale County.
Walker will be putting on a carnival of sorts to benefit a place he feels has been special to him.
An expected group of 500 kids from the club will enjoy a day of complimentary food and games.
Walker, one of the top prospects in the upcoming NFL draft, will speak to the group, and provide autographs.
Walker is one of three MHS alumni who could be taken in the draft that will take place April 21-22.
Alabama defensive lineman Kenny Smith and Delta State wide receiver Jason Franklin are also being looked upon heavily by NFL scouts.
Franklin recently worked out for NFL scouts at Meridian Community College.
