Meridian Library Week begins Monday

Meridian Library Week will be celebrated Monday-Saturday at the Meridian/Lauderdale County Public Library.
The annual library celebration will kick off Monday with the start of the annual book sale. The book sale will run through Thursday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The book sale on Monday is a preview sale for members of Friends of the Library only.
Saturday is the traditional children's day at the library.
Events and displays offered during the day include:
Petting zoo
Fire truck
Police car
Train ride for children
Hot dogs and popcorn
Trolley ride
Inside the library, the book sale will take place along with arts and crafts vendors and presentations.
All of the library events are free and open to the public. For more information, call the library at 693-6771.
