DEKALB Services for Calvin "Shorty" Rush will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at New Hope Blackwater Baptist Church in Daleville with the Rev. Roosevelt Clark and Elder Leroy Horne officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rush, 78, of DeKalb, died Monday, April 16, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice in Meridian.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Mae Rush; six daughters, Dorothy Edwards and her husband, William, Alinda Edwards and her husband, Johnny, Mary Butler and her husband, Johnny, Margaret Hooks and her husband, Willie, and Martha Rush, all of DeKalb, and Glenda Rush Hunter of Meridian; six sons, Earnest Harvey and his wife, Hazel, Murtis Harvey and his wife, Mary, Shelly Rush and his wife, Cynthia, DeWayne Rush, all of DeKalb, Marzell Rush of Leaksville, Bobby Rush and his wife, Gennie, of Meridian; two brothers, James D. Rush and his wife, Earnestine, of Vaderman and Eugene Rush and his wife, Geneva, of DeKalb; 36 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sons and six siblings.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Hettie Viola Wilson will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. Carey McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery with Latimer Metropolitan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wilson, 96, of House, died Sunday, April 15, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include two sons, Major Wilson Jr. of Syracuse, N.Y. and Arlow Wilson of Union; three daughters, Willie B. Horne of Philadelphia, Onie M. Davis of Brundidge, Ala. and Earlean Wright of Erie, Pa.; a sister, Helene "Helen" McIntosh of Preston; 26 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday from 2-7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

DEKALB Services for Lena Mae McDonald will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Lauderdale with the Rev. Obediah Clemons officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with E.E. McDonald Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McDonald, 75, of Meridian, formerly of Lauderdale, died Friday, April 13, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include 12 sons, Arlester McDonald, Ronnie McDonald and his wife, Mary Lynn, the Rev. Larry Jackson and his wife, Crystal, Ricky Jackson and his wife, Rita, and Michael Jackson and his wife, Wanda, all of Meridian, Johnny C. McDonald and Victor McDonald and his wife, Janice, all of Hattiesburg, Melton McDonald, Milton McDonald and his wife, Scelia, King McDonald and his wife, Dorthea, and Randy Jackson and his wife, Dealtrus, all of Lauderdale, and Lovell McDonald of Cuba, Ala.; six daughters, Shirley Gibbs, Rosie Jimison and her husband, Milton, and Sandra Gibbs and her husband, Mose, all of Meridian, Lizzie Hinton and Angela Wear, both of Hattiesburg, and Dorothy Page of Lauderdale; a God-daughter, Eddie De-Lois Jackson Granger of Meridian; a sister, Georgia Mae Lewis of Detroit; 66 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two siblings.
Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Chapel in Meridian

Arrangements were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Alfred W. Frazier, 89, of Bailey, who died Wednesday, April 18, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
