Merrick Anna Greene of Meridian and Stephen Blanks Jackson of Hattiesburg were married Saturday, Feb. 17, 2001, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with the Revs. Charles Leland Culpepper and Harriet Phillips Simmons officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Reynolds Greene of Meridian and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thomas Jackson Sr. of Hattiesburg.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Arthur Edluad of Atlanta and the late Mr. and Mrs. Percy Byrd Greene of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Mrs. Duncan Fairley Matheson Jr. and the late Mr. Matheson and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Rushing Jackson Sr., all of Hattiesburg.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Barry Germany, organist and pianist; Janette Sudderth, cellist; Vince Massimino, violinist; and Jerald Bailey, trumpeter.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore her mother's gown fashion of ivory Chantilly lace embellished with tiny pearls. Her chapel-length mantilla of illusion fell from a Juliet style headpiece and was finished with a deeply scalloped border of matching lace.
Maid of honor was Rainey Weidmann Chancellor of Arlington, Va. and matron of honor was Virginia Jones Bryan of Meridian.
Other attendants were Alison Moore Abney of Madison, Melissa Moore Blackburn of Ridgeland, Lindy Susanne Castle and Susanna Jaqua Johnson, both of Atlanta, Sarah Addison Field of Jackson, Anne Fairley Graeber of Oxford, Katherine Elise Green and Dana Hull VanVeckhoven, both of Meridian, Maylon Jackson Jones of Decatur, Ga., Charlette Melanie Purvis of Birmingham, Ala. and Corey Dement Weed of Starkville.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Jeff Corbett Bowman of Fort Sill, Okla., Wesley Hugh Crider, Ragan Lowery Faler, Scott Benson Hall, Donald Everett Hinton, Robert Thomas Jackson Jr., Jonathan Alexander Shemper and Lewis Nicholson Vance, all of Hattiesburg, Anthony Gillespie Gaines of Belden, Mason Reynolds Greene of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Patrick Wayne James of Sumrall and Robert Wayne Schroder of Washington, D.C.
Ushers were David Miller Matheson of Oxford and Duncan Fairley Matheson IV of Toronto, Ontario.
Lectors were Kathryn Crowe Coleman and Susan Marie McCarthy.
Program attendants were Olivia Holmes Maley and Nicola Christine Makey.
A reception was held at Northwood Country Club following the ceremony. Assisting were Lynlee Howell, Thomas Dobbins and Mrs. Will Campbell.
After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple resides in Hattiesburg.
