After a year of honing their artistic skills in the classroom, Meridian Community College's fine art students will showcase the fruits of the labor in the annual Fine Arts Students Exhibition and Competition.
The show will open Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Casteel Gallery of Art, located in the L.O. Todd Library on the MCC campus. Juror will be Soon Ee Nogh, assistant professor of art at Mississippi State University.
According to John Marshall, art instructor, the annual show is a big event for students, as well as the art department.
The show will feature paintings, drawings, three-dimensional and two-dimensional designs, graphic designs and ceramics.
Regular gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.
For more information, call John Marshall at 601-484-8647 or 1-800-MCC-THE-1.
