The Lamar School golf team has been on a roll all spring.
And with the postseason just a week away, coach Doyle Bryan was hoping for a good showing Monday in the second Parklane Invitational in the last two weeks.
He got it.
Lamar fired a 310 Monday, edging host Parklane by six shots to take the match at Fernwood Country Club after winning last week's tourney by 16 strokes with an unheard of 298.
In Monday's match at Fernwood, Ole Miss signee Reid Davis fired a 72 to lead another consistent effort by the Raiders.
J.T. Williamson was close behind with a 79 for Lamar, while Derek Smith also shot a 79 and Austin Holmes fired an 80.
Monday's match was the final regular season action of the spring for Lamar, which is getting ready to host the Mississippi Private School Association's Class AAA South State Tournament. That event is slated for May 1 at Briarwood Country Club, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The Raiders are gearing up for the MPSA Class AAA State Tournament May 7 at Patrick Farms in Brandon, as well as the MPSA Overall Tournament at Canebrake in Hattiesburg on May 10.
