Wynonna to perform at Silver Star
Silver Hotel and Casino welcomes back one of the brightest stars in country music, Wynonna, in concert, Saturday, April 21 at 8 p.m. in the conference center.
Since starting her solo career in 1992, Wynonna has established her style of music with breakthrough No. 1 hits such as "She Is His Only Need," "I Saw the Light," "No One Else on Earth," "My Strongest Weakness" and "To Be Loved By You."

Saturday Duffee VFD will hold its annual Spring fund raiser at the fire department, located at the junction of Chunky-Duffee Road and Highway 494 just inside the Newton County line. Saturday The "Elvis Presley Show," featuring a 12-member cast with a live band and a sound and light show, will be held at 7 p.m. at Kemper Academy Gymnasium.
April 27-29 A free weekend of live music, art, dance and children's activities are planned at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center April 27-29. The Spring Music and Arts Festival promises rock, rhythm and blues, country and gospel music, equestrian events, children's games and pony rides, painting and graphic art exhibits, food and drink vendors. May 1 East Mississippi Community College's annual Pine Grove Festival will continue through May 1. The festival, which allows students, instructors and the public an opportunity to celebrate the fine arts with music, art exhibits, literature, theatre and guest performers, is open to the public.
A student art exhibit and sale begins April 24 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Stennis Hall foyer.
On April 26 at 7 p.m., guest speaker Elizabeth Sarcone will present a lecture, "Myths and Fairy Tales: Not Just for Children" in the Stennis Auditorium.
On May 1, the EMCC choral students will perform at 7 p.m. in Stennis Auditorium.
The Pine Grove Festival is financially assisted by the National Endowment for the Humanities through the Mississippi Humanities Council.

Mormon Tabernacle Choir to perform
The Mormon Tabernacle choir will perform in the concert hall at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex in Birmingham, Ala.
The concert will be held June 20, at 7:30 p.m.
