Graveside services for Allene Waggener will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Clarence Roberts officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Waggener, 90, of Meridian, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, in her home. She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Waggener of Meridian; two daughters, Sharlene Ethridge of Bailey and Lois Laird of Columbus; a son, Charles E. Waggener of Gardendale, Ala.; eight grandchildren, Rachel Ethridge, Laura Ethridge, Scott Ethridge, Tracy Laird, Dan Laird, Kate Laird, Joy Waggener and Charles E. Waggener Jr.; a brother, Harold Robinson and a sister-in-law, Jo Robinson, both of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ed Robinson and Emil Robinson; and a grandson, Brian Ethridge.
WALKER L. JOYNER

PHILADELPHIA Services for Walker L. Joyner will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with the Revs. James Young and C.O. Germany officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery in Union with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Joyner, 96, of Union, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Neshoba County General Hospital.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ann Smith of Collinsville, Jeanette Wall of Union and Margie Stalling of West Point; two sons, Jerry Joyner of Union and James Joyner of Vicksburg; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lora Joyner.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
HAZEL G. WIMBERLY
Seamstress with Vanity Fair Mills
BUTLER, Ala. Services for Hazel G. Wimberly will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home with the Revs. Clovis Lewis and Sonny Hoven officiating. Burial will be in Wimberly Cemetery in Toxey.
Mrs. Wimberly, 85, of Toxey, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Washington County Nursing Home.
Survivors include a son, Bill Wimberly and his wife, Linda, of Bay Minette; two daughters, Bobbie W. Mosley and her husband, Allan, of Thomasville, and Cheryl W. Lassiter and her husband, Jeff, of Silas; four sisters, Gladys Chappell of Florence, Christene Givens of Northport, Jeanette Oates of Shreveport, La. and Hestina Abrams of Chelsea; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wimberly.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
LLOYD R. PRESCOTT
Retired school teacher and pursuing agent
Memorial services for Lloyd R. Prescott will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Bailey Church with the Revs. Kent Stephens and Elvin Sunds officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Prescott, 76, of Meridian, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Riley Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Army Reserve.
Survivors include his wife, Susan L. Prescott of Meridian; two sons, Richard Prescott and his wife, Linda, of Meridian and David Prescott and his wife, Karen, of Phoenix; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Andrew, Shannon and Colleen Prescott; a sister, Margaret Corcoran and her husband, Thomas, of New York; six step-children, Patricia Reed and her husband, James, Sheila Brown and Lisa Williams, all of Meridian, Carol Smith and her husband, Don, of Lumberton, Raymond Sims and his wife, Kathy, and Linda Stephens and her husband, Kent, of Bailey; a great-grandchild and several step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorene Prescott and a son, Steven Prescott.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be Wednesday 30 minutes prior to the service.
