Graveside services for Tommie A. Shumate will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Springhill Methodist Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Raley officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Shumate, 86, of Marion, died Sunday, May 13, 2001, at Benchmark Health Care.
Survivors include three sons, Terry W. Shumate of Meridian, Tommy Shumate Jr. of Louisville, Texas, and Mike E. Shumate of Canton, Ga.; and six grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Crawford L. "C.L." Thompson will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Bumpers Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Billy Burge officiating. Burial will be in Bonner Cemetery.
Mr. Thompson, 78, of Toxey, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II and the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Zeola Broadhead Thompson of Toxey; a son, Les Thompson of Bethesda, Md.; a sister, Dorothy Hatfield of Mississippi and a grandson.
The family requests memorials be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Cincinnati Burn Center, Attn: Fiscal Services, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229-3095.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
QUIDA RUFFIN ALTMAN

Services for Quida Ruffin Altman will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Greg Williams officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Altman, 65, of Meridian, died Tuesday, May 9, 2001, in Sacramento, Calif.
Survivors include a son, James Altman and his wife, Bobbie, of Sacramento; two sisters, Dorothy Dobson of Sacramento and Betty Favers of Meridian; two brothers, Robert Ruffin and Greenberry Ruffin, both of Meridian; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the services.
THOMAS RAY YOUNG
Retired television broadcaster
Quitman Thomas Ray Young, 67, died Sunday, May 13, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Young was a former broadcaster for WTOK-TV in Meridian and broadcaster/programmer for WKRG-TV in Mobile, Ala.
Survivors include his mother, Hazel Young of Quitman; a brother, Jim Young and his wife, Sue, of Meridian; two sisters, Shirley Poythress and her husband, Joe, and Suzanne Priester and her husband, Billy, all of Quitman; five nieces and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Thomas Young of Quitman; and a brother, Ronnie Young of Jacksonville, Fla.
Wright's Funeral Home of Quitman is in charge of the arrangements. Honoring his request, a graveside service for the immediate family will be held Thursday at Oddfellows Cemetery in Quitman.
The family request memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

UNION Services for Theresa Kaszubowski will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Buffalo, N.Y. with the Rev. James Grimer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Kaszubowski, 68, of Philadelphia, died Monday, May 14, 2001, at Heartfelt Hospice. She was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in East Eden, N.Y.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Kaszubowski and David Kaszubowski, both of Philadelphia; six sisters, Sylvia Quiette of Starke, Fla., Mary Zulawoski, Katherine Buck Hamburg, Pauline Jintz and Phyllis Samboro, all of Hamburg, N.Y., and Pat McMullin of Winter Springs, Fla.; a brother, Walter Mullett of Hamburg; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
JERMAINE K. BAILEY
Services for Jermaine K. Bailey will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Peoples United Methodist Church in Detroit with the Rev. Moore officiating. Burial will be in Geetshame Cemetery with Berry and Gardner Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bailey, 29, of Meridian, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Janeisha Bailey of Detroit; his stepmother, Mattie C. Gordon of Meridian; sisters, LaShon, Gloria and Nicole Bailey, Tanya Williamson and Cincerely Gordon, all of Detroit; two brothers, O'Dawn C. Gordon of Meridian, Ralpheal Perkins and Otis Williamson of Detroit; two stepsisters, LaTisha and Ashley Curry of Meridian; and several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, O.C. Gordon and his mother, Patricia Bailey.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2 p.m.-7 p.m. at Peace Chapel Funeral Home in Detroit.
