Services for Emma Jewel Scott will be held today at 2 p.m. at Hopewell Baptist Church in Newton County with the Revs. Keith Grubbs and Jimmy McDill officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Scott, 80, of Meridian, died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church since the early 50's.
Survivors include her husband, Uland O. Scott of Meridian; children, Pat John and Peggy Carpenter, both of Meridian, and Chuck Scott of Decatur, Ala.; three brothers, James Bradley and Walter Bradley, both of Union, and Horace Bradley and his wife, Louise, of Ocala, Fla.; three grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Mary Scott.
The family requests memorials be made to Midway Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and nephews: Billy John, Clint Carpenter, Darron Scarbrough, Eddie Bradley, Bobby Carmichael and Johnny Prather.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hugh Oliver and Phabain Oliver.
Visitation will be today 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
VICTOR TALMADGE CHATHAM

WAYNESBORO Services for Victor Talmadge Chatham will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Freeman Funeral Home with the Revs. Victor Chatham and Mike Chatham officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in State Line.
Mr. Chatham, 84, of Leakesville, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Brookwood Manor. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include four sons, Kenneth Chatham of Waynesboro, William Gerald Chatham of Birmingham, Ala., Victor Ronald Chatham of Biloxi and David Michael Chatham of Leakesville; a brother, Chester David Chatham of Meridian; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Maxine Broadhead Roberts will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Scottie Fulcher officiating. Burial will be in Brightwater Cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts, 66, of Butler, died Monday, June 4, 2001, at The Speciality Hospital of Meridian.
Survivors include her husband, Burl Roberts of Butler; a son, Steve Roberts and his wife, Susin, of Needham; four brothers, William Eugene Broadhead and his wife, Lois, Rufus Hermes Broadhead and his wife, Joyce, and Dempsey Matthew Broadhead and his wife, Frances, all of Meridian, and S.L. Broadhead and his wife, Joann, of Atlanta; two sisters, Mary Eulene Whittington and her husband, Ezell, of Needham, and Zeola Thompson of Toxey; and three grandchildren, Brad, Jamey and David Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Milton Columbus Broadhead and Rena Sturdivant Broadhead and a sister, Genera B. Mosley.
Pallbearers will be Charles Roberts, Michael Whittington, Jack Hopson, Nelson Sturdivant, Jimmy Adams, Chuck Breland, James Vice and Greg Manley.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Annie Mae Eason will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Issac Lowe officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Eason, 69, of Meridian, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Guardian Angel Hospice. She retired from Holiday Inn Northeast in 1986.
Survivors include her husband, Mose Eason, sons, Jerome Eason and his wife, Yvonne, Mose Eason Jr. and his wife, Patricia, and Daniel Eason, all of Meridian; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joane Eason and a grandson, Timothy Eason.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. -7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Jean Burton Conley will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Clark's Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Allen officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Conley, 78, of Detroit, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Harper-Grace Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Henry Conley and his wife, Essie, of Detroit and Theodore Conley and his wife, Mabel, of Bessemer, Ala.; three daughters, Clarice Gatlin and her husband, Dr. Robert F. Gatlin, of Houston, Texas, Bernice Davis and her husband, Daniel, of Flint, Mich., and Pearl Hill and her husband, Jessie E., of DeKalb; a brother, James D. Burton of DeKalb; 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Conley and a son, David Conley.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Amerson, 55, of Porterville, died Sunday, June 3, 2001, at Riley Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, George Amerson of Porterville; three sons, Robert Needom of Ellisville, Milton Needom and his wife, Karen, and Willie Amerson and his wife, Shirley, of Meridian; six daughters, Shirley McDonald and her husband, James, Johanna Wallace and her husband, Kelvin, Josephine Coleman, and Janet Pippin and her husband, Anthony, all of Porterville, Wendy Gibbs and her husband, Jered, of New Jersey and Sandra Amerson of New York; her mother, Pearl Needom of Markham, Ill.; five sisters, Bonnie Amerson and her husband, Wiley, and Jessie Needom, all of Chicago, Dorthy Needom and her husband, Stafford, of Markham, Darlen Needom and her husband, Kenneth, of Los Angeles, Brenda Needom and her husband, James, of Riverdale, Ill.; five brothers, Joseph Needom and his wife, Liger, Leroy Needom, David Needom, Willie Needom and Jerome Needom, all of Markham; 38 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Marcus Brown.
