Services for Hettie Jane New Snowden will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home chapel, with the Revs. Carless Evans and Charlie Rodriguez officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Cemetery.
Mrs. Snowden, 89, of Meridian, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include two sisters, Ferrell Vaughn and Doris Ponds, and a brother, David White, all of Meridian.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon White, and a sister, Mary Brown.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
COY EDWARDS

PHILADELPHIA Services for Coy "Shorty" Edwards will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service chapel, with the Rev. David Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Springs Cemetery in Preston.
Mr. Edwards, 63, of Preston, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Pleasant Hills Community Living Center in Jackson.
Survivors include a sister, Sue Hailey of Jackson, five nephews and a niece.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
JOYCE JONES
Services for Joyce Jones will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Jones, of Meridian, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4:30 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
IDA NELL EDGAR MATTOX
YORK, Ala. Services for Ida Nell Edgar Mattox will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Larry Teasley officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian, Miss.
Mrs. Mattox, 85, of Livingston, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at The Specialty Hospital of Meridian. Mrs. Mattox was a People Greeter at the Livingston Wal-Mart. She was also a member of the York United Methodist Church and a professional pianist.
She is survived by two sons, Evan Edgar Mattox of Meridian and Little Abe Mattox Sr. of Marksville, La.; a daughter, Martha Mattox Stuart and her husband, Thomas, of York; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Rhodes Mattox in 1966; a son, Orbert Clifton Mattox of Livingston in 1992; and a step-son, T.R. Mattox of San Diego in 2000.
Pallbearers will be Jim Stockman, Buck Buchanon, Winton Wise, Henry Juneau, Bobby Stuart, Fred Walburn, Buck Ozment and Johnny Doggett.
Honorary pallbearers will be her three grandsons, Matt Bomar, Tom Mattox and Little Abe Mattox Jr.; her nephew, Mark Brown; and Ad Boyd, Merrill Wise, Herman Pope, Don Stuart and Billy Stuart.
The family requests memorials be made to the York United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Sunday from 6:30 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
OSBORNE COLLINS JR.
COCOA BEACH, Fla. A memorial service for Osborne Collins Jr. will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at The Riverside Presbyterian Church of Cocoa Beach. Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Collins, 79, of Cocoa Beach, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, in his home. He was a former resident of Meridian.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Collins; two daughters, Nancy Lucy of Cocoa Beach and Jolyne Corbin of Aurora, Co.; a son, Haughey Harris of Cocoa Beach; a brother, Bill Collins of Little Rock, Ark.; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, O.P. and Rachel Collins; and a sister, Mary Jane Etheridge.
