Jim and Diane Wall of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Marion Marie, to Lawrence Franklin Hatten III, son of Larry and Patricia Hatten of Meridian.
The wedding will be held Saturday, June 23, 2001, at 7 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church.
Miss Wall is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benny Baylis and the late Blanche Baylis; Earline Wall and the late James Marion Wall.
The bride-elect is a graduate of West Lauderdale High School and received a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi.
While attending USM, she was a member of Psi Chi Honor Society, Delta Gamma sorority and Golden Key National Honor Society.
Mr. Hatten is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Tedder of Meridian and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Hatten of Brooklyn.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Lamar School and received a bachelor of science degree in animal science from Louisiana State University, with a minor in zoology from LSU Honors College.
While attending LSU, he was a member of Golden Key National Honor Society, served as a senator in student government, president of Alpha Zeta fraternity and president of the Poultry Science Club.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
