Bus driver for Choctaw Central School
SEBASTOPOL Services for Jones Comby were held Monday at Greenhill Methodist Church with the Revs. Wilton Holden and Eugene Tubby officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Milling Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Comby, 77, of Philadelphia, died Friday, June 22, 2001, at Choctaw Health Center.
Survivors include his wife, Rosia Comby of Philadelphia; four daughters, Susie Alex and Annette Rose Kiser, both of Philadelphia, Mary Umholtx of St. George, Utah, and Deloris Hodridge of Banaire, Ga.; five sons, Jimmy Lee Isaac, Jones Leonard Comby, David D. Comby, Harold Comby and Dean B. Comby, all of Philadelphia; a brother, William Comby Jr. of Walnut Grove; a sister, Joyce Ann Bell of Philadelphia; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Comby Sr. and Allie Comby.
LILLIE K. NELSON

PHILADELPHIA Services for Lillie K. Nelson will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Newton County.
Mrs. Nelson, 97, of Union, died Sunday, June 24, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include two daughters, Maxinee N. Bond and Mildred "Tootsie" Gordon and a son, Clifton Oree Nelson, all of Union; two sisters, Opal Bryant of Starkville and Juanita Herrington of Philadelphia; two brothers, Lavelle Knight of Louisville and Billy Knight of Union; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard C. Nelson.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
RITA LOVE SIMS

Services for Rita Love Sims will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Bird officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Sims, 70, of Meridian, died Monday, June 25, 2001, in her home.
Survivors include her husband, Otis A. Sims of Meridian; two sons, Randy Ethridge and his wife, Tommie, of Meridian and Greg Ethridge and his wife, Freida, of Bailey; a daughter, Sherry E. Wolfe of Meridian; grandchildren, Chris Ethridge and his wife, Christi, Wade Ethridge, Jennifer Ethridge, Adam Ethridge, Cassie Lee and her husband, Erny, Kelli, Kevin and Nathan Wolfe and Laura Ethridge.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Winnie Weaver and a sister, Eleanor Fritz.
The family requests memorials be made to Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and Bennie Wolfe.
Visitation will be today from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
LATTIE SHANNON

Services for Lattie Shannon will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. David Wood officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery with Barham Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Shannon, 91, of Meridian, died Saturday, June 23, 2001, in her home. She was a member, Sunday School teacher, Deacon and Elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her children, Dr. James W. Shannon and his wife, Eloise, of Starkville, Gloria Casey and her husband, Richard, of Novato, Calif., Dr. George Shannon and his wife, Mary Katherine, of Meridian and Missi Shannon Steinriede of Eagle River, Alaska; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Shannon Jr.
The family requests memorials be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church or a charity of choice.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

BUTLER, Ala. Services for Talmadege Michael "Mike" Cook will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bumpers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Bethany officiating. Burial will be in Christopher's Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Cook, 45, of Lisman, died Sunday, June 24, 2001, in his home.
Survivors include a daughter, Brittany Kay Cook of Jachin; three sisters, Frances Coulter of Meridian, Sylvia Ann Morris of Mobile and Lyndia Watson of Irvington.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
