Baseball
Madison-Ridgeland Baseball Tournament: will be held July 5-8 at Hite Wolcott Park in Ridgeland. This tournament is seven year old Coach pitch. Basketball
Erick Dampier Camp: Overnight basketball camp with former Mississippi State standout and current Golden State Warrior Erick Dampier stressing fundamental skills. June 21-23 at Millsaps College in Jackson. Boys and girls ages 7-18. Cost is $150. For more information, contact Don at (601)-264-9490.
Shirley A. Walker : Basketball Camp at Alcorn State University will be held July 9-11 at the Davey L. Whitney Complex. Registration is July 8 from 4-6 p.m. Full day cost is $85, while overnight cost is $110. For more information, contact camp director Nathaniel Kilbert at 601-877-6500 or 601-877-6501.
Mid America Youth Basketball National Tournament: for 4th-12th grade boys and girls will be held Aug. 3-5 in Wichita, KS. Over 300 teams from the across the U.S. are expected to participate. For more information, call 316-284-0354 or www.mayb.com.
Ten Star Basketball Camp: Applications are now being evaluated for the Ten Star All-Star summer basketball camp. Applications are open to boys ages 8-19 and girls ages 10-19. Players are selected by invitation only. Past participants include Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Vince Carter, Jerry Stackhouse, Grant Hill, Bobby Hurley, Antawn Jamison, Christian Laettner, Tom Gugliotta and Trajan Langdon. Camps located throughout the nation. College scholarships are possible. For an evaluation form, call (704)-568-6801 by July 15.
Cheerleading
ECCC Camp: The East Central Community College cheerleaders will sponsor their cheerleader camp July 9-11. Junior high school and high school squads may attend. The camp will be held daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Brackeen-Wood Physical Education Building. Cost is $60 per cheerleader. Lunch will be provided. Football
Derrick Mason/Blaine Bishop Camp: David Lipscomb University in Nashville, June 28-July 1. Open to boys ages 8 to 18. Featuring Derrick Mason, Blaine Bishop, Randall Godfrey, Chris Sanders and other Tennessee Titans' players, as well as college coaches from Virginia Tech, Memphis, Missouri, Kansas State and Oklahoma. ECCC 7-on-7 Team Passing Camp: will be held July 12 on the Warrior football field. Cost is $15 per player, which includes insurance, lunch and camp t-shirt. Free Junior Golf Tournaments: The Quitman Country Club will host a mixed scramble tournament June 30-July 1 with a tee time of 1 p.m.. Entry fee is $40 per person. For more information, contact Steve Hampton at 776-5992 or Frankie Felter at 776-6693.
Soccer
Central Jackson Soccer Organization: announces the Division I Select Tryout dates for the 2001 fall season. All tryouts will be held at Callaway High School off Beasley Rd. in Jackson. Tryout fee is $10.

June 19th (U-11 thru U-18 Girls and Boys), 6 p.m.
June 26th (U-11 thru U-18 Girls and Boys), 6 p.m.
June 30th (U-11 thru U-18 Girls and Boys – except U-15 Boys), 10 a.m.

Softball
Lake Lowndes: men's softball classic will be held June 22-23 at Lowndes State Park in Columbus. Five home run then foul ball rules. Entry fee is $140. For more information, call Steve at 662-869-7115.
Southeastern Sports Management: new Gulfport Sportsplex summer schedule includes the adult slow pitch softball. The Summer Holiday Classic will be held June 22-24 for Class B/C teams. One home run limit. Entry fee is $175. The Gulfport Sportsplex National Qualifier will be held July 6-8 for Class A/B/C/D. Entry fee is $175. Swimming
Meridian Swim Association: is inviting children of all ages to join their summer league program. TRY MSA WEEK June 25-28 gives children the chance to take part in a family oriented sport that builds confidence, self esteem and overall physical health.
